The story was a good idea, but the writing was off

The story was a good idea, but the writing was off. I never got a good image of what the woman looked like, her age, or where she lived. I thought I had the end figured out early, but there is another twist that was well done. The book was short and it got right to the conflict and the story without a lot of slow exposition.

Nice touches of irony and romance it what is basically a book about a sociopath. Fast paced. In my opinion, a little disjointed toward the end. Interested in seeing the film on which it is based.
