The latest installment to the Decorah Security Series, BOXED IN, has it all - 1) spine-tingling suspense involving stolen treasure; 2) intriguing paranormal elements courtesy of Zabastian, a centuries-old warrior with no qualms about borrowing the body and personality of Decorah Security agent, Luke Garner. And of course there's 3) sizzling romance, since Olivia Weston has longed to get to know Luke better for some time. Thanks to her discovery of a mysterious stolen artifact, she and Luke find themselves falling in love as they run for their lives, travel through time and do their best to keep the odd antique box from the hands of thieves in search of its power. But even if they succeed, a question remains: is Luke the man she met originally? Or is he now Zabastian, whose opinion of a woman's place is as old as the box he's sworn to protect? Or a combination of the two personalities? The danger-filled path to Luke and Olivia's HEA will keep you up until the wee hours and will be worth every minute.
A long awaited Decorah Security Series book. Love the series and Rebecca York knows how to write paranormal and suspense and romance rolled into one. This one was stranger than some of the other Decorah books but got my interest right from the start. Luke and Olivia were great characters who deserved HEA if they could get away from the bad guys and complete their mission. Good to see Frank and one of the Marshalls in the story too.
I have long been a fan of the Decorah books and this one is no exception. I thoroughly enjoyed taking the journey with Olivia and Luke as they tried to deliver a sacred box to the guardians of humanity. Any further details would include spoilers so I urge you to read this for yourself.
All the books in this series are really terrific but I think this might just be the best one! A spirit joining with a living person in order to protect and return a historic antique box really made this book be a terrific story!!
