I receved this 2 weeks ago. First thing is how to fill? I filled this bag with 30lbs of sand on the bottom (dry sand) then packed 45lbs or old clothing. So now I have a 75lb bag it is 43 inches tall and 12 inches round. The bag is well made and the gloves are just ok. I hope this helps you!! :}

This is the only type of bag that I trust to be able to withstand the punishment I give to it. It definitely is heavy duty. I've been through two others of these, and the only reason they give out, is because someone always stabs them, or cuts them. Unlike other bags, this bag is not likely to rip out on the sowed parts. I've had bags that were three times as expensive, but would last only a fraction of the time.

I got this bag 2 years ago. I left for college and I didn't have a stand so I couldn't bring it with me but I used it for about 4 months and the bag has held up great. I filled it with old clothes but I'm not sure how much weight is actually in it. If I had to guess, I would say about 50-60 pounds but it's still not all the way filled up. As I continued to use the bag the clothes began to settle so there is empty space at the top that I can fill if I want to.
The gloves aren't that great. They are comfortable and all but they don't hold up for long. The outermost layer will begin to crack after about a month of good use on the knuckles and the cushioned part of the gloves begins to crack and pull apart from the wrist support.
All in all, the bag itself is great but I would pay another $20 for some nice Everlast gloves.

I should've read the other reviews. I got this bag for my husband for Christmas thinking it would be filled/assembled. I don't like getting people gifts where they have to do work to enjoy it (research: what to fill the thing with, purchasing filler, then filling the damn bag). Misleading, annoying, the gloves seem to be fine, though.
