I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a good, simple afternoon read with just a hint of spooky.
The plot is truly captivating/intriguing and the characters are SO in depth and complex I found it dificult to put the book down...Seriously!! As I read Psychological Thrillers (I love this genre) I am constantly trying to figure out the end however with an unexpected and suprising twist I DID NOT which made it that much better.
Whether you are a fan of Ditter Kellen (like me) or you love Psych Thrillers (like me) The Boy in the Window is a Must Read!!
Ditter: Please keep writing Psych Thrillers!!
THE BOY IN THE WINDOW starts on a very sad beginning. The once very happily married couple of Jessica and Owen Nobles are now heartbroken over the loss of their son Jacob. The 7 year old boy was taken from them by a drunk driver. Three years later and their grief has not lessened. Jessica has taken their son's death extremely hard. She has spent the last three years sedated and under the care of a psychiatrist. She has been suicidal and they see no progression, just regression. Her mind had crawled into a dark place that she couldn't seem to come back from.
Not a day went by that Owen didn't think of Jacob. He had grieved the death of his son to the point of almost losing his mind. He'd been forced to hide his own grief behind a mask of strength in order to be strong for Jess. Owen knew he had to make a drastic change to save his wife and their marriage. He started plotting a big move behind her back. A move that would take them far away from Jacob's home, memories and even his grave. Owen could never forget Jacob, but moving to Florida he felt was the right decision. He and Jessica would begin their new life and hopefully find some kind of happiness.
Shortly after their arrival at their new Florida home, Jessica peered up at the dirty window on the second floor of the abandoned house next door. She sees a small boy, staring back at her. He had dark hair and was wearing a striped T-shirt. He looked about the same age as her Jacob had been, and now the mystery begins. This book is unique and a mind chilling experience!
