So when I first got Keri Hilson's new album, I was anxious because of all of the hype...yet nervous because I didnt know what to expect. When I first skimmed through the cd, I thought it was okay....HOWEVER....the more I started to listen to the album, the more it grew on me. As a fan of Keri Hilsons,' I must say I was extremely disappointed watching her "The Way You Love Me" video. I just knew that people would appreciate Keri for her background and love her...simply because she is naturally beautiful (I am not saying there is anything wrong with e nhancements), she has a curvy body, her vocals have progressed, and she is not afraid to be bold! I really felt like Keri was one of those beautiful artists who had improved so much...it was hard not to like her. Then, she started to dress a little more risque, sing aggressive, sexual lyrics, and just introduced the world to a new side of Keri. As much as I hated to see such a change in her (that made her appear a little desperate for more attention), I must admit...I thought her new album was very impressive. There are a few songs on the album where Keri gets a little "hood" and even materialistic, however, this album is a step up from her last one. I honestly see Keri with having a very productive, progressive, wonderful career! My songs of choice on the album are:

-Buyou
-The Way You Love Me (sigh...Im guilty)
-One Night Stand
-Lose Control
-Breaking Point
-Beautiful Mistake
-Gimmie What I Want
-All The Boys

The "Pretty Girl Rock" just is waaaay too shallow and egotistical for me. Overall, I am very impressed with her album! I wish her much success!

Keri Hilson is back with her sophmore album No Boys Allowed which is far more cohesive than her debut In A Perfect World... which by al means is an excellent album but her follow up seems like more of an album with a meaning to it. All the songs are pretty much meant to impower its female audience with R&B / Pop mixes with much swagger. The opener "Buyou" will instantly dig itself Into your mind with its irresistible beats and the lingering lyrical question "How'd I end up with you?". The single "Pretty Girl Rock" may have been taken as Keri's ego song but seriously? Its more of a female pop anthem about feeling good about themselves. "The Way You Love Me" a Hip Hop oriented booty shaker is simply that. Its agressive sexual lyrics make it a standout track with notable production by Swizz Beatz. "Bahm Bahm (Do It Once Again)" is just ok until the interlude "(I Want You)" which altho only about a minute and a half puts you into a love making mood as well as the colaboration "One Night Stand" with Chris Brown. "Lose Control" is instantly unique in its sound its absolutly the best track Keri has recorded in the Dance genre. "Toy Soldier" and "Breaking Point" fall a little flat especially following such a stellar track. "Beautiful Mistake" is another standout track in which Keri tells her lover they are two beautiful people that have nothing in common but sexual attraction. "Gimme What I Want" follows which is on the shorter side but is pretty catchy. "All The Boys" is the final ballad which is pretty much saying goodbye to all the hearts I've broken and those who've broke mine. Overall this album was really underrated especially with critics. Keri is easily a hidden jem in the overly produced R&B genre.

Keri Hilson is a gorgeous, talented young R&B singer. When she hits, she really hits. When she misses, it's a bit monotonous. In this, her second effort, there are less than a handful of moments where she really lights it up. Unfortunately, about half the tracks are throwaway tracks. The songs that miss just lack a strong hook or spark- perhaps she rushed this CD out the door.

For fans, though, this CD is still worth it for the moments of happiness she brings. Let's look forward to her next effort.

I only bought this album because Keri Hilson is on the cover and she's so sexy to listen to; but I was surprised at how much she has matured since her first album. "No Boys Allowed" was a refreshing album with a few attitudes we didn't know Keri had in her. TIP: When Beyonce is occupied, take the stage!

I bought this project as a result of Amazon having a $3.99 special and boy am I glad I did! The CD is great, it's probably one of my favorite CDs of 2011. Keri Hilson did a GREAT job on this and I can't wait to see what else she has in store! Her star is definitely rising.

At first I was skeptical about purchasing this album. But after I listened to it I was hooked. A few of my favorites are

Pretty Girls Rock...this song is of course egotistical, but its a feel good song. Everyone needs a boost of confidence every now and then.

The Way You Love Me...Awesome club song. It will definitely get the club rocking.

Bahm Bahm...is another one of my favorites.

Breaking Point....is definitely a true song.

Overall, I think this album was good a good follow to her 1st cd
