5/5 better than the memes would have you believe
Pepe the Frog, the subject of an insanely popular meme, originated in this comic. See him in his good-natured, high-all-the-time form, before the alt-right hijacked him and made him a symbol of white supremacy.
The problem is depth. Boy's Club barely scratches the surface of its characters. When you read Boys' Club, you can tell that the author really cared about all the characters and knows them very well-- but seems to struggle with showing or testing those characters.
On most pages of this comic collection, nothing really happens. Character beats are repeated and by the time you're done reading, it feels like just an appetizer.
In conclusion, the characters and artwork are appealing but this book just doesn't have enough meat in it to be satisfying.
To Short i wish it was longer also it should be on adult swim I sure it would be a blast
