I bought several Christmas themed candies to make a small gift of candies for my mother-in-law. I knew that in the past she has had interest in getting mints to help keep her throat from being so dry. When the Soft (hard and dry as a rock) mint sticks arrived I really was disappointed!! There were several pieces that were broken, some in half and others were in several pieces. I didn't want to return it due to the fact that it is December, and didn't know if I could get one in time to make up a gift for her. I really didn't want to wait and find out that the next one is similarly damaged. These looked like they were old, hardened and not worth eating.

If I wanted peppermint pieces, I would have ordered that. The peppermint sticks came in an envelope - smashed beyond recognition. This was not what I expected.
