I ask my kids questions from these cards every day. My older son (11) really enjoys being quizzed, and my younger one (9) just tolerates it. But we homeschool so he doesn't have a choice :)
Sadly, they have no grade 8 questions, so my older son is out of luck and I guess we have to move on to Trivial Pursuit questions or something.
In addition to question cards for upper grades, it would be nice if the answer pages included a bit more explanation. They would be more educational and useful that way. Brainquest makes their American History trivia cards, and those ones do have more explanation on the answer pages, which is often helpful and interesting!

These cards have been a lot of fun for lunchtime conversation during the pandemic. I have a seventh grader and a fourth grader, and the content is incredibly variable. My fourth grader can easily answer a third of the questions, but then there are random ones that are incredibly difficult. It would also be nice if there were additional explanation sometimes instead of just a one or two word answer. Due to these inconsistencies, we've enjoyed them more as conversation starters as much as anything.

Got this to replace grade 6 for my 11yo. Many questions are not 7th grade level. For example, Where in the human body are tonsils located? Other questions that say which and give choices are easily guessed. The math Qs are good prompting pencil and paper. The subject categories your student needs can be focused on and are learning and informative.

I can't believe they still make these, I had them when I was a kid! The cards cover a wide range of topics, and you can use them as a game for playing trivia, or your child can work through them on their own. My 7th grader thinks they are fun and he is learning something new each time.
