My precious daughter-in-love brought my first introduction to Pinterest. She is still my favorite "pinner" because she finds so many amazing ideas and inspirational pics. I was obviously hooked immediately. As I took the first bite, we were in the backseat on a trip pinning away. It is one of our funniest memories.
To now have an "action plan" for justifying my addiction is exhilarating. ha!
Seriously, I do not like to see business owners get into "social networks" just for what they can get out of it. I think that was why I was resistant to even pin some of what I have to offer the world through my own business, blog, and products. After reading your book, I see how to use Pinterest to the max while being who I really am. Oh! Isn't that YOUR message, Kim?
I am a bit groggy today because I stayed up adding some of my own treats to the boards at Pinterest. I am MORE than addicted today! My brain is exploding with ideas! Thanks!
The Biz Mentor
I've been following Kim's excellent advice on Social Media and Branding for well over a year now and consider her the Go To Guru on the subject. Her posts and tips have saved me countless hours of research - some of which I'd probably never get around to.
Recently I bought her book about Pinterest and its value to building a brand. I must say right off that it is excellent and loaded with insights and useful advice. It is definitely going to require some re-reads to absorb it all.
I find it interesting that Kim made me a convert so quickly, because I was only vaguely aware of Pinterest and had some unformed thoughts that it was probably just another social media fad. Still, I found myself drawn to all those compelling images and posts people were making.
Kim lays this whole thing out right off in her book, which is how she changed my point of view. We all want to create solid results through branding our businesses and she explains how Pinterest can do this for us. She quickly connects to how you and I can build and enhance that brand image, get customers and insights into what they like; generate traffic, and much, much more.
Her writing style is clear and easy to understand as she explains what Pinterest is, how it works and how to use it. But what I like most is how she explains WHY it works, and how its visual appeal and motivation grabs the emotions.
This connects it back to foundational information we all know as internet marketers - that purchases are based on emotions, and only then do we use the factual product details to justify our purchases. Also that as customers we buy from those we know and like - and how better to know, and like, someone than by seeing what they pin up as important to them.
You well get great value for money with this book. At its very modest price, I wouldn't wait around too long to hit the buy button. Frankly, buying this book is a no brainer.

The second portion of this book shares some tips for using Pinterest to promote your business. The author encourages business owners to be creative and develop interesting pictures on their sites. You can use the images that you pin to your boards to build links to your website and also to other sites. When a person clicks on a picture on your Pinterest board, they are taken to the website or blog where the picture was originally posted.
Ms. Garst states that Pinterest drives more traffic than YouTube, Reddit, Google+ and LinkedIn combined! The strength of this unique platform lies in its simplicity. By connecting items, photos and interests instead of people, Pinterest has revolutionized social media.
This ebook is an excellent guide for getting started on Pinterest. It also offers many useful ideas on using this platform for building your brand and promoting your business.
Ms. Garst is very persuasive in explaining why a business owner should be using Pinterest. I purchased this ebook because I have opened an account on Pinterest but have not really started using it. This book helped me understand how and why Pinterest could add value to my Internet interests and my life. I highly recommend this ebook to anyone who is interested in using Pinterest to build their personal and business networks.
