Can this CoolTec shaver be used on the body?

This shaver is designed for use grooming the face and neck, where facial hair grows. It is not specifically designed for use on the body. Braun recommends that you use other grooming products that address your below-the-neck needs.

Can I use gels or foam with this CoolTec shaver?

In order to experience the full CoolTec effect, it is very important that you NOT use any shaving foams, lotions, or gels, which might act as a thermal insulator. These shaving foams, lotions, and gels are not compatible with the alcohol-based cleaning solution and may potentially damage the device.

What’s the difference between foil and rotary shavers?

Rotary shavers are designed to work with cyclical movements; Braun foil shavers are designed to work with efficient sideways movements on the skin, giving perfect control and precision. The foils protect the skin from irritation and are specifically designed to deliver the most thorough and comfortable shave from Braun.

Do you have any recommendations for shaving with an electric foil shaver?

We recommend that you shave before you take a shower. After a few days without shaving (for example, the first shave after the weekend), you should trim your stubble before you shave. Stretch the skin and shave against the direction of beard growth. Hold the shaver at a right angle (90°) to your skin. Keep the pressure even to achieve the most thorough and comfortable shave from Braun.

How often do I need to change the shaver head?

We recommend replacing all cutter parts every 18 months. To maintain optimal performance, we included a replacement part indicator in the display to ensure that you know when to exchange the cutter parts.

How long does it take the recharge the shaver?

This CoolTec shaver can be fully recharged in just an hour, giving you up to 45 minutes of cordless shaving and up to 15 minutes of the cooling function.

Where is this Braun shaver manufactured?

Like all Braun premium shavers, this unit is designed, engineered, and manufactured in Germany to ensure the very best build quality and reliability.

Clean&Renew System

Why would I need a Clean&Renew System when I can clean my shaver under water?

Our tests show that cleaning your shaver with a Clean&Renew station is 10x more hygienic than cleaning it under the tap. At the simple touch of a button, your shaver is hygienically cleaned, charged, and lubricated for your maximum convenience.

I already have a cleaning station from my previous Braun shaver (Pulsonic or Syncro). Can I use it with the Series 3 shaver?

No; the Series 3 Clean&Renew System is the latest model from the Braun Clean&Renew line and can’t be used with previous shaver models. The latest Clean&Renew System provides you with the best technology available in a cleaning and charging system.

How often do I need to exchange the Cleaning Center refill cartridge?

If you clean your shaver with the Cleaning Center twice a week, you will need to replace the refill cartridge every two to three months to experience a like-new shaver every day.
