Great choices for different heads. One for whitening, one for flossing, one for sensitive teeth, one for regular daily use, one for extra cleaning. My dentist told me it's "the best". Dental hygienist can't believe the difference in my gum health.
My dentist for the last few cleanings kept insisting I get one of these. I already had an electric toothbrush by another brand. It finally died. So I purchased this. I am amazed by how well it cleans and I find I want to use it for a greater duration. I do find the remote timer a gimmick. Nice to get more brushes but the primary one works best for me. Looking forward to telling my dentist at my next appointment.
Bought this to replace an older Braun. Big difference. This one is amped up quite a bit more and does a better job. There is an "ease up Jack" red indicator that will light up for those who tend to press too hard, but the power of the unit itself just naturally invites a firm yet gentle grip. It comes with a variety of heads so you can experiment and find the one that's right for you. It also comes with an awkward timer: not only does it beep to remind u to move on to the next quadrant (ok feature), it also pauses the brush at each beep (dumb). When the batteries wear out on the timer, I think I will just put it away (it's also a clock so if u don't already have one at the sink, it's good for that too). The holder is really cheap plastic vs the older, more substantial one so u need to be careful with it. Takes a long time to get an initial charge, but then seems to recharge pretty quickly. We'll see about durability.
I had to replace my older electric tooth brush as the brush heads were no longer available for purchase. Unfortunately, the generic ones didn't really fit it well. However, once I received this it was as different as day and night. I don't use the wireless part of it as it seems over the top but the unit itself is great as it beeps every 30 seconds to let you know when you've brushed a portion of your teeth the appropriate amount of time. It does a great job of cleaning. Has multiple brushheads and multiple speeds which are probably more then what I need at present. If you are pressing too hard the handle lights up orange so you can't really go wrong with this unit. Comes with a carrying case for travel.
I love this toothbrush, It does feel a bit intimidating the first time, a little loud and fast. But after using it, my mouth feels very clean and the floss action works between the teeth well. About the product description by the seller: It doesn't have an LCD screen, just regular like Oralb4000. It doesn't come the Probright/white brush. was a little disappointed but I can live with out it.
It comes with the following brushes: Flossaction, Sensitive Gum, Powertip, and DeepSweep. The SmartGuide is cute but doesn't do much really, besides switch minutes and smile. It displays which mode you chose. The ratings on it just gives you 4 starts when you're done and it's not based on HOW YOU actually brushed your teath.
Some folks do not like the happy face that shows the four quadrants of brushing time. That is okay. They may have misplaced the inner child, or do not have kids, or grandkids that use the brush. Some people are not capable of keeping track of the time (no matter what the age). A visual display makes this unit suitable for all. I personally like the audible sounds indicating 1, 2, 3, 4 beeps, but then I am visually disabled. My youg grandson might be too young to stay focused on the beeps, so the visual happy face keeps his attention. Bottom line I find this unit to be the best of the four generations of Oral-B I have used to date.
I think this is a great product. It comes with four different heads. The timer is soo helpful. The toothbrush stays charged for several days while traveling. You can buy a generic brand of replacement heads at a lesser price, but they are not as quality as Braun, but nice to have the option. I have recommended it to my family and friends and have had much better dental checkups since using it. I've had it for almost four years and still going strong. The travel case could be a bit sturdier, but then I do a lot of overnight traveling. Got a better deal than at Wal-Mart.
Replaced a 10 year old sonicare toothbrush with the oral b 5000 which was recommended by my dentist. This brush is sweet and leaves my teeth and gums feeling like I get a dental cleaning every day. Like that the brush heads are smaller and not as expensive as the sonicare. Accepts full range of oral b heads that would meet anyone's needs. So far very pleased.
