Perfect for Daily Use

The Braun Independent Cordless Styler is impressive in every way. This may be the ultimate cordless styler and you may want to use this daily. The freedom of not having to deal with a cord makes styling much easier and convenient.

The ceramic coating also makes the curling iron much easier to use. Your hair won't get caught or feel like its overheating. If you want to use this mostly with the curling brush, then I think you won't have any issues.

They may have fixed the issue of the brush coming off, because it seems to be very firmly attached and is not that easy to remove at first.

When you switch from the curling brush to the curling iron, the brush can seem like it is stuck, but a firm pull and it comes off without breaking.

This model doesn't seem to have the steam function, so if you want that option, look for model C20S. The handle has a soft grip, rubbery surface in two places that makes this easy to hold. The start function is very easy to use and the protective cover allows you to toss this in your purse, even while warm.

For some reason, this item made my hair even softer and smoother

than other curling irons I've tried in the past. It seemed to be a much

more pleasant comfortable experience.

I have been using this cordless curling iron for many years and could no longer find one in the stores but found this one online and ordered it. I am so glad I did as I now realize that mine was so old that it no longer did the job it used to do. Thank you for helping me get another one. It is really great and so convenient without the cord to get in the way.

It's a hot curling iron and does the job. Heats in about a minute or two. Easy to find refills for in supermarkets or drugstores. Comes w/ plastic sheath. Had another one for ten years or so ... the plastic in the teeth started to fatigue and break off.

Braun Independent Cordless Curling Iron

I just replaced my old model Braun Cordless, which I used regularly for yrs,with this new model and I LOVE IT! First of all it is a 7/8" diameter and the old one was 3/4" and this works better for my short to med length hair that I do not want curled too tightly. The wand is much tighter and I like that because my hair doesn't slip out. Overall, for a cordless I have to give a 5 rating as I have tried both the Conair (which doesn't get hot enough for me) and the Revlon Recgargeable which is purely a useless waste of money and doesn't work well at all! The only negative, if you want to call it that; is that the cartridges are a bit expensive but can be purchased online at a better price than I can find them locally. Price is a trade off for convenience in my opinion and I hope Braun will continue to bless us with these for a long time to come.

Waste No Time

I LOVE my cordless curling iron. This is my second one of this company's manufacture. I use this in the car and at home. I think that the butane curling iron has an air flow pattern from the burning gas that creates a better curl than electric. While I agree with the other reviewer that there are some features that could be better, I would take this one hands down over ANY other plug-in curling iron and over ANY Conair that I have tried. The two things I would prefer are that the cover would snap on to the back end - like a pen or marker does, and that the refills were easier to get than they are - I can't find a store that sells them anymore. The Remington store used to have them but they went out of business. I don't buy a lot online because I like to see and look at the things that I buy, but I HAVE TO HAVE THESE REFILLS>>> I LOVE THIS THING! This is a super product. Braun seems to really "engineer" their items versus "slap it together and call it done" like many companies. By the way, their old curling iron did have a cover that snapped on the back. (Don't know why they changed it) I too am wayyy over the age of 13.

Braun styler ergonomically poor

I like the old style better for several reasons. Except that it died after only a couple of years of using it exclusively for travel. The new one is larger, taking up more space in my carry on, for no good reason. The lever for opening it up curves upward and is very stiff so it takes a great deal more effort to work the wand. I will use it for traveling to spots outside the US because I don't need a transformer, etc BUT I would never use it at home. Too much trouble. The wand, I think, is also larger around so the curls are not as tight as I would like. I would give it one star but Conair's looks worse with a very short handle. Not a lot of choices in the market. And I am waaay over the age of 13!

The Braun cordless curler is great. I've used only two for over 25 years !! I only wish there was one we could take on airplanes. Please also make the butane
