This will be my last Braun shaver

This is my forth Braun shaver. I still have my Braun 8000 series shaver after 6 years of use, but the trimmer quit working, so I decided I would go ahead and purchase a new high end model. I bought the Braun Series 7 760cc model about one month ago. The first thing I noticed was that the new model was an inch longer than the old model. The next thing I noticed is that the trimmer is next to useless. It comes out at almost a 90 degree angle, so you can't see what you are trimming, since the view of the trimmer is blocked by the shaver head. It also seems to just chew individual whiskers off. The old trimmer was very useable and since I have a beard, I use it all the time around the mustache. I also noticed that with the new shaver I had to go over the same area many times to shave and it was still not what I would call a clean shave compared to my 6 year old Braun 8000 razor.
After two weeks the cleaning/charging station quit working. It doesn't respond at all now. My cleaning station for my older 8000 series Braun only lasted two years of partial use.
Finally, after only three weeks of use, I got up one morning and my razor appeared to have no charge, even though I just charged it two days before and it was still fully charged the day before. I attached the charging cord and it still wouldn't charge. Since the charging station had already died, I was unable to try charging it that way. When I press the power on button, the only thing that happens is that the number (20) flashes on the bottom where the current charge is suppose to be displayed, but it doesn't charge when left plugged in.
I then tried to call customer service. Good luck with that! I went through the menus several times. I was finally told to press zero to talk to a customer service agent. I pressed zero and I was told that due to a heavy volume of calls, I would be put on hold. A few seconds later a recording stated that they were closed for business that day and then a few seconds after that, a recording said that if I needed medical assistance or first aid, to call a given phone number. I thought that maybe somehow I had hit something other than zero, so I went through the whole routine again with the same results. The recording said they were closed (a non-holiday, Thursday afternoon at 2:00 PM) and the message about needing first aid or medical help was repeated.
This new razor/cleaning station and customer service is an absolute joke!!
After being a Braun user for about 20 years, I will never purchase another Braun razor. The new Braun costs twice what I paid for my 6 year old razor and it can't compare to the old razor in quality or functionality. It's very sad. I just wanted to post this review, so others might determine if it's worth taking a chance on this product. Who knows, you may get lucky, but don't expect any assistance, if it fails.
I'm off to start searching for another brand. It's very sad..
