Personally a long time comic book fan. Because of work, jobs, & schedules I had stopped reading them. Then DC's New 52 came out & I was curious. Then I got a Kindle Fire & I started reading collected comic volumes again about a year & a half ago. I had read the Flashpoint story & the New 52 DC comics. (Also read Marvel's Marvel Now titles) I knew that Barbara Gordon had an experimental operation that allowed her to regain the use of her legs and become Batgirl again. I was a big fan of "Batman: the Killing Joke" because it was the first comic I read after turning 18 yrs old that showed me how mature comics could be. The character of the first Batgirl became wheelchair bound because of a brutal act of violence committed by Batman's oldest rival. Despite being disabled, she still helped in crime fighting. I picked up this story because it was on a really cheap Kindle sale. I didn't know I would love the story. It showed characters that were Heroes that couldn't always save the day. But they knew they could count on their friendship.

This a story of a girls night out with Zatanna, Wonder woman and a pre-wheelchair Barbra Gordon , as the cover would indicate. It was a lot of fun, with a revelation towards the end that I really liked. Not too much else to say without ruining it, but I will add that Zatanna has one or two lines that I for one found to be very amusing. I would recommend this for anyone who is a fan of any of these women, or just superhero friendships in general.

This is a story that in the universe shows the last days of the original batgirl right before she would be shot by the joker. Mir turns out zattana has a vision and shares this with Diana who lets it be known they are to say nothing because changing the corse f the future and have many effects.

Gives the SCI characters in the cover more depth while giving huge props and awesome homage to the pre52 timeline.
