Sound – 440 has decent sound. The output is a lot higher than the Mini Jambox but the other ones are as well. It’s pleasant and I’m sure no one can complain about it but nothing special either. Surprisingly, this and the Urchin (which is slightly bigger) are neck and neck for bass output.
Features – One feature that the 440 has that should be standard is a battery meter on the unit itself. Not only that, but if you have an iOS device, you get a battery meter on your phone that automatically appears when you pair. You can control the source as well including track forward and back but it’s not as well executed as the Jambox (see design for more on that). You can also charge a source with the 440, another feature that should be standard but isn’t. Only the Jambox has more features. The 440 also water resistant (not water proof).
Design – The 440 is second again to the Jambox in sheer ‘prettiness’ though I wouldn’t call it pretty either. It’s just a solid design. The big problem here is that it is so light that it tends to jump around when the volume gets to 75% or higher. They added sticky feet to mitigate that but in a wet environment, that feature is completely eliminated.Read more ›
Its size, flexibility, and IPX water resistance are great, and the sound is really quite good for its size.
It is small and ruggedly designed so I don't think twice about throwing it unprotected into my every-day-carry bag.
The built quality is spot on and pairing the unit is super easy.
Hands-free phone operation has been flawless with my galaxy Note 2.
I typically use it over the course of long days at work and even after long shifts I have battery power to spare.
My wife and I also bring this along on vacations so we can listen to music while we are relaxing after our adventures together.

The speaker sounds OK. It's got decent bass and at higher volume has limited distortion. It's small so it can only do so much. Read morePublished 7 months ago by Edward S Infald
Only thing is that it has so much bass, it bounces off on smooth suffices and ends up on the floorPublished 8 months ago by Frequent Flyer
