If you are looking for an objective look at a historic period of USA nuclear bomb development, don't bother with this tome. Mr. Zagone served in the military at the time of these tests and was exposed to some of the effects. His rationale is heavily shaded by obvious emotional aftereffects. If you are an ardent opponent of nuclear weaponry, then this is a great tool to use to further your argument. Although I have spent many years researching the development of nuclear and thermonuclear weapons, and quite frankly think we are extremely lucky to have survived the era, I think Mr Zagone's book borders on a manic litany of personal affronts bestowed upon him by a typically unconcerned military establishment.
