On the PC, this is useful precisely for Genesis and Saturn emulators, and that is it. It's a Saturn 3D pad in every way that makes sense on a Saturn but makes no sense on the PC. I had hoped it would work for N64 as well, but no. The D-pad and analog stick are mirrors of each other. There is an L3 click, but it is a mirror of the B button. The D-pad registers 'up' when I press left and right with frustrating regularity.

So for its very specialized use case, it's decent. It's really hard to find controllers with six face buttons. I wish this wasn't as intentionally handicapped as it is so this could be a very adaptable controller. Unfortunately it's just too limited to be of much use. Only purchase if you're a die hard Sega emulation aficionado.

I use this on both my PC and on my Polymega for playing saturn games, and it works great for that - it's also pretty solid for the genesis games as well. Great for using on these systems when you don't want to risk damaging your discs.

It does feel a little flimsy in the plastic, but the switches work great, and I haven't had a single problem with it yet.

Good Controller for Fighting Games

I bought this controller for fighting games because I could never wrap my head around using shoulder buttons, so the 6 face buttons are exactly what I was looking for. The controller is good quality plastic and components. The buttons are nicely sized and easy to track your fingers on as well as having a nice "clicky-ness" to them, with a nice crisp press and release. The D-pad is not as clicky as I was hoping for, but it's not squishy either, so it's not too bad. The pad also feels like it floats on a membrane, which initially screwed up some of my inputs, e.g. doing a quarter-circle forward almost always added a "up" input to the end. I have been able to retrain myself to avoid that though. Bear in mind, this controller does not have a second analog stick, so it won't work for games that need it.

So the floating D-pad from the genesis/saturn days has made a big return these last few years. I have tried offerings from this brand, 8bitdo, and retrobit, and from what I can tell this is most problematic d-pad of the bunch.
I have been having allot of miss inputs while grinding out matches in fighting games
It may be something that I can adjust to overtime, or sometimes controllers stop doing stuff like this once you break en in a bit, but I'm not sure.
Overall however the controller is comfortable and doesn't feel cheap at all, I recommend it for retro and indie games, can't recommend it if you just want a fightpad, I would recommend 8bitdo and retrobit over this for fighting games. If the input issues manage to work themselves out then I'll change my review to reflect that.

I bought this because I have large hands and I cramp up with the smaller ones. This is solid and very good quality. The buttons work great for the fighting games. The stick is a bit close but it’s not been a problem for me. The cord is plenty long and good quality. Good value for the money if you want a option that is very comfortable. Definitely improved my play on the genesis mini

Excellent controller Highly recommended!. Very comfortable and the buttons feel great. Makes playing on the Genesis mini a smoother experience as well. You can enter save states or reset with the shoulder button instead of holding start for 3-5 seconds. It’s a game changer. It sounds small but it makes things a lot easier. Worth every penny.
