Chapter One was a Godsend! Anyone with a body and a brain who reads Chapter One (Astonishing and Little Known Facts About Sugar) will immediately want to change their current intake of "foods".
It's a revelation to have these facts collected into one place to plainly see how excess sugar ingestion is responsible for the vast majority of all ailments and conditions that plague 21st century humanity. Reducing specific types of sugar intake will improve not only our diet AND our physical bodies (weight loss), but also improve our health (from balancing body pH, to improved circulation, and a positive impact on reversing both inflamation and diabetes).
Putting this all together for me in one single chapter, and then presenting easy and logical steps that can mitigate and even reverse the damage sugar has already done to a body was a fantastic revelation. I'm so thankful I read this power-packed volume!
I'm finally on my way to GOOD health and permanent weight loss. Without diets, without points, without counting this and adding that. Just reduced sugar intake. How utterly simple and practical!
But there is a cure. It's a cure I never imagined. I have a serious sweet tooth. I LOVE desserts, and especially chocolate and red licorice.
But after reading this book, rather than grabbing a bag of Twizzlers, I'm going to sniff some Peppermint Oil.
It's no wonder why I'm addicted.
I've tried cutting sugar out completely, but I always reach for it
when I need a pick-up. I feel trapped because I crave it so often.
"...Sugar induces a response in the same parts of our brain as heroin, crack and nicotine."
Scary fact, right from the book!
"Break Sugar Cravings" is a short and powerful read.
It's very well studied and written. A brief and excellent history of sugar
gives insight to our sugar addictions, with practical tips and natural supplements
on how to break it. It's easier than you think!
In 20 minutes, I learned where sugar came from, how it enslaved me, and how to break free.
Add this little gem to your library, and refer to it often.
It'll prove to be an incredibly valuable resource for healthy living!
The information is evidence-based and full of interesting facts that help you understand your body better, which is valuable on its own. But then the author gives EXACT INSTRUCTIONS to get started on your journey to better health! This book is a must have in your library! I have already referred back to it many times in the last few days.
