Then, after you have read this book through once, I suggest you keep it on your desk and open it to a page at random when you are feeling the need for a little Cosmic Guidance and Support. I think you will find that the excerpt you turn to will give you some insight into what's going on in your life (at least that's what has happened for me).
Kathy's genuine and humorous perspective on the challenges that face so many of us modern day women will be a life saver and a sanity saver. It's like having a good friend to give you exactly the right advice and support just when you need it most.

Frank writes with a passion as she shares lessons learned from her personal experiences essential to achieving balance in her life. Clever illustrations created by Caitlin Johnson-Nied enhance the vibrant appeal and excitement of the book.
The format and organization of the "musings" allow the reader to read, contemplate, and record personal reflections using a systematic sequential or a random approach as Kathy's observations are arranged topically.
"Breakdancing On A Balance Beam" encourages the reader to explore, dream, and discover. Kathy Frank inspires confidence, motivates action, and alerts the reader to value the moment, to take time out to reflect, and to fill their life with fun and laughter while enjoying their achievement and their accomplishments.
A complimentary copy of this book was provided for review purposes. The opinions expressed are my own.
"Breakdancing On A Balance Beam" is filled with vignettes for surviving and thriving in the ultra-speed world which we live and work. It's the rare business book that focuses on behaviors, rather than skills, that determine success in life and work. It's a desk reference book -- keep it handy when you need a boost.
"Remember, even the ATM shuts down for maintenance" says Kathy in the chapter on taking time for yourself.
"Winners hit the ground running. . . 'Luck' occurs when preparation meets opportunity." I'd like to put that slogan on a banner in my house and in my office.
It's a resource to keep at hand for those moments when you feel you may be flagging and need a touch of inspiration to revive your optimism and energy. Each time you pick it up, whether to read one chapter, several, or all of them, you will benefit.
It's a book you are likely to return to again and again.
