Dragon is hot and just the perfect amount of growly biker. Nicole, although claims at the beginning to be shy is not. She's a firecracker and bloody brilliant.
When Dragon finally confesses his love for Nicole she seems to miss it totally....
“Nicole, don’t ask me to change. The club has a code, my life has a code, I love you but if I let one f***er get away with s*** like this, then a mountain of..."
Then a few chapter later when he tells her he loves her she cries. This was a little strange too but I just did the same as Nicole and ignored his words the first time ;)
Great debut and I'm looking forward to the next book, Saving Dancer.
Please note, if the books gets a new round of editing, I will read BD again and edit my review to remove comments regarding editing issues.
Nevertheless I feel compelled to issue a strong warning. I don’t know whether this book was edited by a (professional) editor or not, but the tense is all over the place. I am not a fan of what seems to be an increasing trend (especially in genre fiction) of the usage of historical present, but if you do employ it, then at least be consistent about it. Jordan Marie jumps between historical present and simple past all the time, sometimes within one sentence and it drove me crazy. It's like I have this grammar device stuck in my mind, and it pinged every time the author’s use of tense was inconsistent: distracting as hell. I can overlook the occasional grammar mistake, but here the jumble of present and past tense was just continuous and thus continuously annoying. So what on the basis of the story could have been 4+ stars gets 3 from me because of the awful tense massacre and of the Mama-Daddy-thing, which - at least to me - sounds just off.
Dragon is the President of the SAVAGE BROS. MC, and so he is always in control in all aspects of his life.....When he meets Nicole, a small town girl with curves for miles, leaving home for the first time, he decides she is his, and he doesn’t take no for an answer...But, when they get together, they are combustible...But hot sex isn’t enough to sustain a relationship...They have to decide if their relationship is worth a fight do combine their worlds..❤️🌼🔥
There really hasn’t been a book written by Jordan Marie that I haven’t liked if not loved....She writes the hottest love scenes and describes the heat between the couples, so much I’m just waiting for my kindle to explode ....❤️🌼🔥
