There are spoilers below but only about Dante and Scarlett's romantic relationship.
I love Dante. Love him. He flipped all of my switches. Dante is jealous, possessive and totally obsessed with Scarlett the heroine. There is nothing that he would not and did not do for her. He was her protector from a young age. Also she is his one and only. Only she would do despite the large number of OW that wanted him. Dante was never with any other woman including during a lengthy separation despite making her believe otherwise. Sadly the same cannot be said for Scarlett. She was a woman scorned and had a lot of anger to work past and that including having smex with OM. In her defense Dante broke up with her and led her to believe that he was having smex with her enemy. He sent incriminating pictures of him & said enemy to her. Also he became engaged to the OW. (There is a reason why he did this but I will not disclose as it is a spoiler.) Also during the 5 years he led her to believe he was with a lot of OW because he was jealous that she was with OM during the separation. Honestly I would be livid too if the man I loved had smex with a woman I hated. To get back at Dante Scarlett had smex with Dante's good friend and made sure that he knew it. The only reason that I blame her for having smex with Dante's friend is she was very mean and hurtful to the friend after she used him.
I love the jealous moments in the books, more so Dante's than Scarlett's. Scarlett was almost as possessive and jealous as Dante and she was not able to hid it anymore than he was. I love the hot sexy times in the books and there were plenty. I liked reading the scene where they gave each other their v-cards. It was cute. There are plenty of Jerry Springer moments in both books but I could handle them.
Both books toggle between the past and present. Book 1 is from Scarlett's point of view and Book 2 if from dual points of view. I wish there was more of Dante's point of view as I found him much more likeable than Scarlett. While I did not dislike her, at times Scarlett was mean, too violent and too self centered. While Dante occasionally became violent as well it was always to defend her. While it is not right, I understood why he did what he did.
The ending was a HFN with an epilogue. If the author decides to write more book in the series I would read them but only if Dante and Scarlette are secondary characters and not the hero and the heroine. I liked how there relationship was when the book ended and if their story continues that can only get screwed up.
Breaking Her was definitely a heart wrenching read. Without saying much we learn a lot about Scarlett's past, which I think helps us understand why she is the person she is today. Her story was so much more than I ever expected. Again I can't say much because of all the spoilers in the story.
I wasn't sure it could happen but this book made me fall in love with Dante. "I have many demons. But only one angel." This quote screams Dante!
"Love doesn't make the world go round. Love is what makes the ride worthwhile." ~Franklin P. Jones Love the quotes throughout the book.
Mostly Scarlett's POV
When I read Breaking Him, I had no clue the cliffhanger was going to affect me as much as it did. I was emotionally involved with the book and upset there was not a conclusion. I've finally read the last book and couldn't be happier.
First off, I loved the names used in the books - Scarlett, Dante, Anton, Eugene, Mercy, Adelaide, Bastion, and my favorite, Leo. I think all books should use kicka.. names.
¡¡¡¡Spoilers after this!!!!
I was happy about the friendship between the brothers. Having siblings makes life better.
I was happy about Adelaide's demise. I wish it could have been worse for her.
Mercy was a surprising twist, a pleasantly happy one. It also made her friendship with Gina make more sense.
I'm glad Glenda stepped up at the end but I don't think it was enough. She was forgiven too easily for me. I do like that she at least tried.
I'm glad we got to hear Leo's story. It made sense why Adelaide hated Scarlett so much. I wish he would have looked out for her better. I think he should not have been such a coward.
I wasn't shocked that Renee died but thankful about knowing her tragic story. Where is her body?
Why wasn't Jethro thrown in jail or at least had his comeuppance? The jerk.
I'm sad for Bastion. He doesn't deserve to be miserable because he's in love with Scarlett. He never pursued her because of his brother. He seemed to be solid as to who he is and one of the better people in this book.
I wanted Tiffany and Farrah to go down in flames. They didn't. Tiffany got what she wanted. It's horrible that she won in any capacity.
I would like to read about happy endings for Scarlett's roommates and Anton.
I enjoyed this so much I didn't want the story to end. I want to know more about Scarlett and Dante's happy ending - like into the future a few years. I'm glad we at least got an epilogue with the wedding in it.

1 click now but make sure you read book 1 first. Excellent read
In book 2, all the threads are drawn together and we find out why Dante acted as he did. The supporting characters were so deliciously awful. I loved it.
The twists rocked my socks off.
5 STARS! and a brilliant end to a really amazing series.
