I recommend this book to anyone...especially those who know suffering, because if this man can overcome, you can too.
The book is in two sections: the first section depicts his tragic childhood in which he suffered abuse, repeatedly got into trouble with the police, and found himself in hairy situations; the second section gives an eery step-by-step account of the devastating day with the group he was leading down Antelope Canyon, and a freak flash flood washed them away. Amazingly, his life was saved by an act for God, something Pancho struggles with and often asks why.
Breathe For Me is an honest and brave debut novel by Mr. Quintana who has experienced more horror in his life than most of us can imagine. Highly recommend.
You never truly know what someone's experience is, where they come from, and what they had to overcome in order to be where they are in this very moment. It is incredibly brave for Pancho Quintana to write his story, however raw, vulnerable, and uncomfortable it may be. This is an excellent book.
