Now about the packaging... There was a warning to not use sharp objects to open the box on the box itself and when I opened it I could see why. There was nothing in the box except this pillow! Literally there was no packaging whatsoever on the inside of the box which could be bad in some cases. For an example it's supposed to rain here today and if I didn't bring this package in right away it could have been rained on and water would have gotten into the box very easily since the box itself wasn't fully sealed up. I didn't have any problems myself but I could see potential problems with how it's packaged to other people.
-Camel color (it's actually a little lighter than what the picture shows but that works for me since it actually matches my tan colored pillow cases and bed sheets.)
-A pocket on the right outside armrest. This pocket is very well-made and can easily hold a cell phone or small TV remote.
-Handle on top of the pillow. This is great for carrying it to other rooms. I didn't feel like the pillow was too heavy but if I child is wanting to move it to another room they'll definitely need to carry it by the handle.
-Wide armrests. The armrests aren't flimsy and can actually prop my arms up comfortably for when I'm typing for a long time.
-Somewhat firm pillow. The major advantage of getting a pillow like this instead of using a regular pillow is that it acts like a chair in bed. It's firm enough to prop you up so you don't have to keep readjusting and/or fluffing it up.
-Jumbo cord. This is referring to how it's connected. There are jumbo "cords" throughout all the edges which should mean that this pillow should hold up for awhile. I feel that it feels like it's well made and will last for awhile.
-Spot cleaning only. The tag says spot clean only so don't be throwing this in the washer.
I gave it 5 out of 5 stars because it's exactly what I wanted! I had been searching for something like this for awhile and every time I saw ones like this in stores (WalMart, Ross, etc.) I always felt that they were very cheaply made. I didn't want to spend a lot of money but I wanted a good quality product. This is a good quality product. I didn't even know it had a pocket or handle when I ordered it and I think that they are great added features. I recommend this pillow to anyone looking for a pillow to use while sitting in bed. I can even seeing using this to make couches and chairs more comfortable as well.
Update: After using this product for a few weeks I feel I should amend my review. The arms on this backrest are VERY thin. I am an average size woman but have always been known for my " toothpick" arms, lol. My arms fit okay on the armrests but if they were even a little bit larger they would not fit. Also, keep in mind that the larger you are, you may fit into the backrest, but your arms would not fit because of course you would not be having your arms plastered to the sides of your body. Just fyi. I put two pillows on either side resting on the armrests to test that and its pretty comfy if your arms don't fit if you want a starter backrest.
