The Breville Die-Cast Hemisphere Blender turns ice into snow with a powerful 1000 watt motor! The patented bowl/blade system utilizes a large, semicircular shredding blade positioned to hug the uniquely shaped bowl. Because of this design, there are no still zones around the blades and the results are finely shredded, consistent ingredients. The 67 ounce/2 liter polycarbonate pitcher is designed to resist fogginess and cracking. The baked enamel measurements provide for sharp viewing and accurate measurement. The base control pad is designed without crevices for easy cleaning and gives you precise control over the motor's 2-speed settings and pulse functions. The base is die-cast stainless. The pitcher is dishwasher safe. It has a Breville assist lid and plug for easy removal.

I watched a few comparison videos in YouTube, that is what convinced me to try the Breville, and the fact that another family member loved theirs.
The only reason I did not give it a five, as I mentioned. It takes a few cycles to get a drinkable consistency for more fibrous vegetables. I have to hold the jar while it is blending because it moves on the counter and the vibration makes the jar rattle on the base while in the blending process.
Was it worth saving the $200? am torn because I am enjoying it and I use it almost every day. But I wonder if I would not have to strain my kale, run only one cycle and not have to hold the jar!
The steel finish was also a paint that began to peel off after just a couple wipe downs.
I recommend you stick with Vitamix for the higher end or Nutribullet for a more economical option.
I upgraded to the Breville 800BLXL Die-Cast Hemisphere 2-Speed Blender with 67-Ounce Polycarbonate Jar and love it even more. The pitcher is very light, easier to clean (no fear of breaking the glass) and the blender itself is so powerful that the smoothies only take about a minute.
So, why did I purchase another Breville? All my small kitchen appliances are Breville and all are of fantastic quality. They are not only attractive on the counter top and bring compliments from guests but they are sturdy and function exactly as they should. Pricey, yes! But worth every cent.
