It is a solid build looking appliance, however, after less than five pounds of orange press the drive shaft cracked. Not a small crack but a long vertical fracture.
This shaft is made with poor quality plastic and no matter how strong the rest machine is made of, this ilittle shaft is an manufacture overlook and consumer disappointment .
I called USA number on the back of the User Guide but only was put on hold for a long time. Finally I give up holding left my calling back number with the answering system and come here to write a report.
I hope Breville could see this and advise me what to do with the defected appliance.

What happens if I am juicing e.g. a big orange or a grapefruit and lot of juice comes out at the same time, then it leaks from the sides of the spout. And if I close the spout and try to juice and open the spout, that's when half the juice spills all over the counter from the sides of the spout (Please see the video)
Then I went and did some research online. Even the official Breville video (https://amazon.com/vdp/0a0fd44e7ed845f38cb413dcc278b04f) shows a leak if you go to 33 seconds in the video (7yHsBjIYuAQ). Then I looked at some 3rd-party reviews and all the reviews either do not juice with spout closed or they just never open the spout after juicing (because I am sure they know it will spill all over)
Amazon sent me a replacement and it has the same problem, so basically Breville never thought through properly and introduced a design flaw in something which have been working in 20 years old juicers.
Overall built, quality, mechanics and looks are solid. It looks great on the counter with all stainless steel built. But what good is a juicer if the basic functionality is missing.
Other three things that I did not like are:
1- The top part that comes off, is not very easy to pull out or plug back in. They could have done a better job. Inside is also plastic and a bit harder to clean
2- The strainers and the cone that I have to wash are a bit rough steel, not that smooth so the pulp sticks to it and it is slightly harder to wash away, but that is something I can live with.
3- Breville used to include two strainers with this product; a fine strainer and one coarse for more pulpy juice. Now they only include the pulpy one. Even though most people including myself would prefer more pulp, but it does bother me that they removed one item from original product.
I think it is a love and hate relation, because I really like the way it juices and really hate when it spills. So if I decide to keep the juicer I will have to be aware of that flaw and:
1- Never juice with the spout closed
2- Juice in slow motion when juicing grapefruits or other larger citruses.
I hope that helps.
I liked it a lot while it was working, it's quiet and looks nice and a lot faster than juicing by hand, so I guess I'll just buy the replacement parts while they make them, from looking at the design I don't have much hope that the next one will last longer.
Update: Downgraded to one star after dealing with their customer service some more and trying to get the thing fixed. It's trash after less than a year.

This is sixth Breville kitchen appliance in our home and like other Breville stuff, this die cast machine is built like tank. It looks very nice on counter-top and juicing is very easy and effective. You need to apply just little pressure while juicing and motor is very silent. Power-assisted arm not only make squeezing effortless, but keeps you hand clean as you don’t need to press fruit on the top of juicer dome. Built-in sensors activate juicing process once the press arm and fruit are in proper contact. I also notice that it is more effective and gives more juice compared to plastic juicers since you have no leftover juicable part remaining on orange halves. It goes right to the very end and takes out every bit of juice out of fruit.
Top and bottom cups as well as pulp cup is removable and very easy to wash and clean. All parts that requires washing are dishwasher safe. Though we mainly use it for oranges, it should be noted that it easily handles grapefruits and limes as well. When you need to stop juice to flow, you can simply lift the spout upwards, thus there is no more dripping while taking the glass away. You can control the pulp stainless steel filters.
THE GOOD:
• Outstanding built quality
• Effortless and easy squeezing
• Exquisite look – You would like to keep it on the counter-top
• More juice and almost no wastage
• Very quiet operation
• Very easy to clean
• Pulp control
• Drip-stop spout
THE BAD:
• I can’t think of any major issue other than price. Edges of strainer parts are little sharp, but I have never hurt myself while cleaning. Though top cup eject button worked perfect so far, I think this should have been designed better as sometimes I have to try couple of times to put it back. It sits by plastic o-ring gaskets and It should be noted that it comes with extra o-ring type gaskets in case you need to replace it.
FINAL THOUGHTS:
I bought this Citrus Juicer after researching every product in market. I don’t think there is any better citrus press in market than this. It is expensive, but it is far far better than other juicers we have used before. You can buy packaged juices at lower price, but when you do it yourself, you know that you are getting is pure and fresh juice and not some watered down stale juice. Overall, this is a stellar product and you would not be disappointed if you are doing regular citrus juicing. I am very demanding person, but this product earns Highly…Recommended rating.
The only complaint I had with this juicer is that the fruit dome would come off nearly every time I pressed it down. This annoyed me so much it was almost a deal breaker. However, it was a quick, easy and free fix! The citrus press comes with extra c-clips, and all you have to do is replace one if it ever starts to wear down and the top starts to fall off. Now juicing is even more efficient!
I would 100% repurchase this citrus press if something were to ever happen to mine, and I recommend it to anyone looking for an elite citrus juicer!
I looked for a while, reading reviews and yes, you can buy a cheaper one, but there is always something that ends up going wrong with them; too loud, spilling, plastic parts, not enough power, breaking within 6 months, etc.
I love the simple design, stainless steel parts, how easy it is to clean, how quiet it is, how efficient it is when juicing so I decided to spend the money once and get the best kind.
Exceptionally easy to clean, to use, to assemble and disassemble.
The only small inconvenience is that it is bulky - it requires a good amount of space to store since nothing can be put over it. But other than that, it is amazing and you will absolutely love making orange juices again. You will even want to make lots of them.
