Rubber on Beaters is Coming OFF in Food

Love the mixer, but the rubber on the beaters is coming off. It's dangerous to have plastic pieces coming off in food. I contacted the company and they aren't able to send me new beaters. My HAMILTON mixer cost $20.00 and lasted 18 years without any issues. This is an expensive mixer!!! I would not splurge on a Breville mixer.

I reduced it to 1 star because I contacted the seller & Breville for replacing just the defective part. Neither were helpful. It was expensive yet the rubber began to wear down soon after use (1 month). Shame on you Breville!
It is wonderful to use but the rubber on one of the beaters is wearing down to the metal, I also had to trim loose bits of black rubber because I didn't want them to detach and get mixed in with my cake batter.
I believe in spending the little extra for quality products, I wish the rubber around the beaters lasted a little more than a few months, aside from that, the light and ease of changing speeds make this hand mixer wonderful to use.
Update: I will be contacting the seller or Breville and will update my rating according to their response.

Awful. I’m an avid baker. The beaters as pictured are total crap. I had replacements sent. Arrived bent (middle one). Next one snapped in half (besting icing, not a thick dough). And rubber peels off, meaning I’ve had to toss a few batters and totally wasted all of those ingredients. Customer service is meh. The replacement beaters are now out of stock. They offered to replace the whole mixer which feels like a total waste. But in order to do so I need to mail current one back. Guess why I ordered this darn thing on amazon... because I don’t have time to go to post office. No thanks, Breville!!
