I can't live without Brew Rite!

I don't know why this is so hard to find; but, thankfully, it's always available on Amazon. This is the best stuff for cleaning coffee pots! I can't get my coffee pot clean without it. I have tried all other things with no success. I ran out of Brew Rite and tried several other things to clean it. I have a stainless pot and the inside had coffee stains so bad, it was almost black inside. Nothing I tried worked! Nothing! Well....I have used Brew Rite for 25+ years; so, I knew to stop with all the nonsense and just order what works. I ordered the Brew Rite, it arrived at my door and with one brew, my stainless pot looked brand new. I order 2 or 3 each time I order and will reorder when I get down to the last bottle. Never again will I be without Brew Rite.

This product ABSOLUTELY does NOT work! I have a Farberware stainless steel percolator coffee pot which used to clean beautifully using Dip It. Dip It is no longer made. Apparently Lime-Away bought them out and makes nothing to compare. I called Farberware to find out if there was anything else on the market that would clean as well as Dip It. They told me to but Brew Rite. I was so excited to finally be able to get a product which would actually clean the percolator. When the product came and I read the label, it said it could also clean percolators. Great! What a complete disappointment. I followed the directions to a tee and the product did not even touch the coffee stains. I called the company which distributes Brew Rite and they said they were sorry I had a bad experience and they would pass along my comments to the proper channels in their organization. A lot of good that will do! So, I am still left with a stained coffee pot and no product that will clean it. BTW, I already tried vinegar, baking soda, salt and they don't work either!!!

I had been using vinegar to clean my Ninja Coffee Bar for about a year. I read the reviews on this product and decided to give it a try. On the first use, there was so much gunk removed from the coffee maker as to turn the water brown, and the filter caught all kinds of accumulated grime from the inside of the unit. I will have say that this product is really as good as the reviews indicate, and I will buy this from now on to clean my coffee maker.

Trenton Bennet's lead review of this coffee maker cleaner is 'spot-on.' I have been using vinegar and baking soda to clean my Bunn Coffee Drip machine. I WAS amazed at how much residue from coffee and water scale was removed using a single application of 24 oz. of water and one measured TB of cleanser. My system has a 'ready' water reservoir so I made sure to cycle two pots of water through the system to flush the reservoir and then to apply the cleaning/scaling solution. I followed that with three pots of rinse water and I continued to flush scale during those rinses. Finally, I tasted the water: no acid taste and my coffee pot now has a sparkling interior. This is a fine product.

Made my coffee pot worse, not better

Well, the one good thing this stuff did is clean the thermal carafe nicely. However, that's the only nice thing i can say. Followed the directions, and coffee pot still won't brew a full reservoir. I feel like it cleaned the coffee residue well, but didn't do anything for the scale (saw next to nothing come out). Even after running 3 more clean reservoirs of water through, it still wouldn't brew a full pot. Tried the solution again and now it brews maybe 2 cups before the pot turns itself off (thinks it out of water). I hope i can clean this junk out of my reservoir. I'll be buying something else that i for sure know works.

Just wanted to point out that while it cleans the coffee maker very well, it also does a fantastic job of cleaning the stains on the inside of the carafe, which can build up quite a bit in a thermal one.

After it runs through your coffee maker, grab a brush and clean the inside of the carafe with the spent solution. Works wonders.

And as someone else pointed out in another review, this is one of those instances where it is much cheaper to buy at your local Walmart or Target.

This product is very easy to use - make sure you remove your coffee pots internal filter though, I didn’t know that was a thing for the longest time and that can’t have been good for me. Anyways, once you finish with your coffee maker, use the same liquid to do your thermos and daily coffee cups, too, it has plenty of cleaning power to do them all. I can tell it’s time to clean my system when the coffee tastes burnt if either left in the maker’s pot or my thermos “too long”. Clean with this and drink at your comfortable pace and every cup tastes great. Unbeatable.

Then after using Brite Rite to clean it, I was shocked at how well it cleaned it of deposits. It now looks like new inside, including other parts. I highly recommend this product.
