Another reviewer had suggested putting the large section in the freezer for 3-5 minutes. I followed that advice and it worked wonderfully. That center section is a lot to manage, and freezing it lets it stiffen up and stay where you want it. I also suggest using a dry erase marker, level, & some kind of measuring tape. With your dry erase marker, just be sure to only use small dots where you want your lines to go. Too much marker & it doesn't want to stick. - All in all I think it took me about an hour to get up.
Sorry for the mail rack on the opposite wall, couldn't get it out of the reflection.
The second issue with the decal is that the decal wasn't that attractive even before the decal was on the window. The lines were a bit sloppy and the clear part of the decal was bubbly/wavy in a way that doesn't really look like stained glass, just uneven plastic sheeting.
Finally, as others have noted, you need a lot of caming lines (sold separately) for this to look ok. I needed 12 feet to cover my 4 ft by 2 ft window.
Now that it's up, it looks ok from about 20 feet away. Any closer and it is pretty clearly fake. All in all, I don't think it's worth the $33 I spent on this plus two packs of caming lines. If I had it to do over, I'd spend $50 and get a piece of real stained glass to just hang in front of the window.
Honestly, I was afraid to place it on glass. I thought it would look a bit strange. I was wrong.
When I finally used it, I was thrilled with the outcome!
I purchased two sets and 3 rolls of caming. Used it on a door in the pattern shown but doubled it since the glass is long enough. Looks great!
My husband (the critic) really likes the look, too!
