My name is Brian G. Scott, and as well as being a novelist and musician, I'm also a published author in my profession which is archaeology. Also, I have just set myself up as a guru for the formatting of books for the Amazon Kindle!! Well, so many other people are doing it...
I was born and reared in Belfast in Northern Ireland, and lived here through the troubles. I've been a school teacher, a university lecturer, Head of Conservation at the Ulster Museum in Belfast, a heritage consultant, a part-time soldier, a professional singer-songwriter with albums to my credit, a software developer, a technical writer and, most recently, an archaeological editor for the Northern Ireland Environment Agency.
I've lived here in Belfast, also in Prague in the Czech Republic, Reno, Nevada in the USA, in England and most recently in La Romana in the Dominican Republic, where I taught English in a private school.
I'm married with three kids, three grandkids (all of whom live in Boise, Idaho), a wife and seven rescue cats. Quite a menagerie all round.
By the way, don't bother clicking on the 'see all books' link, because all but two were written by somebody else. I don't know why Amazon can't get a simple search right!
Two other books which I've written as B.G. Scott are not listed on Amazon.com. These are
Early Irish Ironworking (ISBN 0 900761 25 3), Ulster Museum, Belfast, Northern Ireland 1990, hardback price £25.
The Great guns Like Thunder: the cannon from the City of Derry (ISBN 978 1 906271 10 7), Guildhall Press, Londonderry, Northern Ireland, hardback price £25
