About Brian R. Wright
In the summer before my senior year in high school, I read Ayn Rand's The Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged--and took her vision of heroic individualism deep into my heart and mind... to the consternation of many peers, and abandoning most of the country's mainstream intelligentsia, from church and state. After jettisoning the Rand addiction--and other addictions over years and decades--fashioned an 'Independent' life....
Since 1964--from Barry Goldwaterism to Ayn Randism to libertarianism, then being active in the Libertarian Party from its inception--I've been an activist. In 2004 I bailed from the LP 'answer' and became an early mover to the Free State (New Hampshire). That's when I started writing books (writings to date here: http://global-spring.org/#Writings)--from sanctifying the nonaggression principle (http://bit.ly/2u46KTJ_SNAP) to a grueling, though sometimes tinged with humor, reminiscence of my failure to take the Drug War seriously (http://bit.ly/2uqXKcO_BW_Some_Mistake). My wholistic libertarian commentary and review site, http://TheCoffeeCoaster.com was born in late 2006.
Personal Note: Somewhere in the earlier part of the above years I graduated from Wayne State University with a BS in mechanical engineering and got married to a wonderful woman (both occurred in 1975), then wound up working for 'the Man' in the cannon business (engines for cruise missiles) until I couldn't justify it to myself, developed a drinking problem (1980), went into automotive, divorce (1984), then IT (information technology) and technical writing. Rode a big two-wheeler to Alaska (1985), started letting go of addictions--mainly alcohol and tobacco--(2008), today pretty much write, edit, publish, do community service-oriented jobs in 'retirement,' hoe my garden and now am founding a living-activist philosophy qua religion best documented on its FundRazr crowdfunding site here: http://FundRazr.com/FLOWFellowship.
Toward Global Spring
From simple libertarian I became libertarian truther... then 'justicer,' culminating in my first novel, The Truman Prophecy (2016) (http://bit.ly/2rdIJ9Q_Truman_Prophecy)--that humankind, one by one, as Independent beings, will indeed break free of the oligarchy-contrived stage we've been trapped on and in... just as Truman Burbank does in the prophetic movie, The Truman Show (1998) (http://bit.ly/2fzIaFJ_Truman_Show).
Most of us seek a world of peace, freedom, and abundance--as individuals living in voluntary community, that is, a society where no individual or group is entitled to push others around or harm them. And we each have a unique image in our minds of what such a world looks like and feels like. My image is that of a little girl girl eating an ice cream cone--the image appears on the cover of my 2008 book, The Sacred Nonaggression Principle (http://bit.ly/2u46KTJ_SNAP)--without a care in the world. This is the world I envision.
Thus, for me, Global Spring is the outcome, the result, of doing the right thing(s) for our species. And since I wrote The Truman Prophecy, I have started several integral projects at my http://brianRwright.com site, which have gelled in late 2019 into The FLOW Fellowship. Note: Global Spring and the FLOW Fellowship gel with the Thrive movement: Video #1: Thrive: What does it take? is free from http://thrivemovement.com. Video #2: Thrive II: This is what it takes, is available via thriveon.com https://bit.ly/3izLED5_Thrive_II.
The forces arrayed against humanity from high-crime assaults to cascading AI with even deeper broad-scale attacks are considerable. But if we can gel on a grassroots level, adopt the simple FLOW and "Independents Rising" mission inside the next couple of years, I'm confident of victory over the forces of darkness... bringing, you guessed it, Global Spring.
I've started my memoirs from that time (at this link: http://bit.ly/2BFOLVy_To_Change_Tire) on my Coffee Coaster site.
That is, independently conscious: An 'Independent' is a human person who exercises full and exclusive psychological dominion over his or her own mind and its judgment in all matters, never surrendering that responsibility to others based on authority or consensus. Independents think for themselves, as individuals, never accepting coercion of anyone's mind or body by another being or beings. And seek a world based on the nonviolation principle and voluntary cooperation of individuals in benevolent community.
The image of the little girl is many people's vision of an ideal world. NOT utopia. [She gels Catherine Austin Fitts' description of a near 100% "Popsicle Index" (http://solari.com/the-poscicle-index)--the likelihood a lone five-year-old can walk to a store blocks away and buy a Popsicle with no risk of harm.]

Learn how you can LEGALLY keep all of your property every year (which is what the framers of the Constitution intended, that a man's labor would never be violated).
The federal income tax is actually written as an excise tax—because a direct tax without apportionment would be unconstitutional [the 16th amendment did not change this]. Excise taxes can only target narrowly de-fined activities and must be avoidable. Think cigarette tax, if you don't want to pay it, then don't smoke.
The activity that the federal income tax targets is the exercise of Federal Privilege. To put it simply and bluntly, the only people who technically owe federal income tax are the ones who have federal earnings; i.e. working for or contracting with the federal government or one of their federal corporations (post office, FDA, etc) or instrumentalities (railroads, national banks, etc.), or receiving federal payments such as Social Security (though most SS benefits are typically specifically ex-cluded from income tax on the 1040). This has been true ever since the first income tax was enacted during the Abraham Lincoln presidency in 1862.
The great scam of the IRS was in convincing all companies, not just those federally connected, to begin withholding during WWII—before then, less than 4% of the American adult population paid federal income taxes (Congressional reports from that time period detail this). Most companies complied in the fervor of war, not knowing they weren't legally/technically required to do so.
So now when you receive a W2 or 1099, understand that it is actually a legal document that declares that the money you received for the year was federally connected income. 80% of the time this is false. But once it’s been filed with the IRS the burden is on you to refute it (and once you refute it the burden is on them to prove that it is federally connected, which they can't).
Legal scholar Pete Hendrickson made this discovery in the late 1990s when the IRS digitized the entire code and made it searchable (dumbest thing they ever did). Before that it was literally impossible for anyone to see all the pieces, much less to put them together.
His book came out in 2003 and since then 10s of thousands of Americans have been legally reclaiming more than 2.5 billion dollars of their property incorrectly withheld from them. This includes, get this, all FICA taxes as well as income taxes. (Unfortunately you can only go back three years).
This purpose of this book, American Gumption-Catharsis, is to show that the Hendrickson Discovery is ironclad, and, as important, the learning and practice of the discovery is very likely the root best action any of us can take to reclaim a) honest government, and b) our own spiritual and intellectual independence.
Or to put it in the author's own terms: "As I’ve stated in the narrative of this book, leveraging the Discovery of Pete Hendrickson is the best catalyst I can think of to ultimately break all the collars and reach our destiny as Independents, starbound.
McGilvery’s discovery comes just in time to reestablish the people’s direct oversight, control, and discipline of government officials—and their big- power accomplices—running amok in wholesale corruption over our rights.
The precious knowledge in this little book enables us to turn the tables on these servants who imagine themselves masters… nonviolently, yet assuredly. We merely need revive the power we were tricked into letting atrophy.
Truth, justice, liberty. In approximately that order. The Truman Prophecy is a novel of the likely steps of their imminent fulfillment in American society today. The author builds his vision using metaphors of the 1998 movie, The Truman Show, and, more important, the classic American fable, The Wizard of Oz... where truth, justice, and liberty correspond to Toto pulling back the curtain on the Wizard, Dorothy reading him the riot act, resulting in 'coming home.'
The Prophecy is self-fulfilling and requires all those who seek a free society of peace and abundance to assert themselves as psychologically independent beings (Independents) and participate in ending and punishing official and corporate misconduct. Intelligently and prudently, yet decisively.
The rest of the story—Part II: The Life—came as an afterthought, as I was putting together mementos from Mom’s collection to share in a special ‘remembrance reception’ a month after she died. It occurred to me during the process of discovery and presentation that we need to think of a person as his or her whole life. It had become routine for me to regard Mom as this weakened individual needing special care. To the point even memories of her robustness 5-10 years previous were fading.
I believe I have recovered the whole life of my mother as well as anyone could. And what a life! I was talking to my cat Tabby the other day, saying, “You know what, you are absolutely one of the most beautiful creatures on the planet. And no one knows it!” Same way I feel about Mom. Only with Mom, I’m determined to get out the word.
a) Has the LP/LPM nonetheless contributed toward liberty?
b) Is it reasonable to expect LP/LPM success in the future?
Up front, my answers are: a) marginally and b) yes, provided Libertarians recognize their strategic role in the libertarian cosmos and transform their means accordingly. The Grand Strategy I propose is also in two parts, coming from a deep appreciation of the objective reality of context. The focal points:
1. Empowerment: At the state and local levels develop grassroots self-government, person to person, to facilitate the easy transition to the voluntary-community model (technically a condition known as panarchy)
2. Accountability: Predominantly at the national level educate the people to their own power—embedded in the Magna Carta and the Constitution (not to mention our con-sciences)—to investigate and indict government officials and associates who have engaged in gross criminality.
Integrally, elect Libertarians. Many hands make light work.
