I'm tempted to write this in the third person, the way it might appear on the back flap of a book jacket ("Brian W. Fairbanks was born in . . ."), but I eschew pretension, though not to the point of eschewing pretentious words like "eschew."
A former Art student, I was majoring in English when I graduated from college. Since then I've done a little of this (teaching, which I like - kind of, sort of, sometimes) and a lot of that (writing) while waiting, as we all do, for death's embrace.
Although a freelance writer, my byline frequently appeared at Paris Woman Journal in Paris, France where I was Entertainment Editor for several years, as well at Hyena Productions in Hollywood, California where I was the principal writer of the Artist of the Month feature (the majority of which have been collected in "35 Profiles" - a great book).

I will be making daily appearances in my apartment throughout 2013. If you purchase a hard copy of one of my books and would like it autographed, I'll be happy to sign it there. But please email or call first.
