Let me begin this review by saying that I love Nana's writing, and I was very excited to get the notice that she had a new book and I purchased it soon after, but after reading it, it didn't compare to her other book. The way the characters were written didn't echo the style that I had found in her previous books. The main female character in this book seriously got on my nerves. She seemed to have no backbone, and when she made a decision and then it came time for her to defend that decision, she couldn't and was easily persuaded to do something else someone wanted her to do and then she gets mad at the wrong person. She seemed to need her hand held through everything having to do with her life and when she did make a choice, it had to be validated by her best friend or she'd chicken out. Nana's female characters are usually strong and independent and even when they are vulnerable, it feels human and does not make you as the reader want to slap them silly. Unfortunately the same cannot be said about this character. I loved the best friend and the male lead, but I felt sorry for him having to chase this chick around when really in my opinion she should have been the one chasing and begging him. This wasn't a terrible book at all, I'm just saying that she has done better.

This is a very nice, sweet romance, I have to say that I only read it because I love Misty Evans and I did stay up until 1am to finish it so it is worth reading, but I read the second book in this series 1st and liked it much better, it had much more "steam" in it.

I have received an advanced review copy of this book by the author for an honest review.
This is a short one but a quick and cute read! Story line is as what is explained... A young lady with a fairly new job has a BRAND spanking new fiancé who has absolutely no idea who she is or what she's about.. Out of duty.. Becca decides to learn to swim to please the man that doesn't even know she has a fear of water! Ugh.. Holden was a mess- the fiancé who proposed in one of the most unromantic ways for Becca and a lot of people.. Forcing her to say yes in a public way and the gifting her with something that was God awful of a ring.. On top of that.. You manipulate everything without ASKING her anything?! Who does that?! Apparently he does which is why I didn't feel sorry for him when Liam came into the picture.. Good Lord can I run into him?! He exuded sexy from his name to his body to his beautiful personality.. He of course has his own demons with his family but who doesn't? I definitely liked him better for Becca and am glad that when s$:&&t hit the fan for BOTH of them, they came to their senses quickly.. Now as for the cons I the book- it was too short.. Love came quickly.. Although they and the reader couldn't deny their electricity I guess it took a second to realize I was already 50% through the book saying dang I'm almost done I guess it has to happen sooner than later huh?! (it didn't happen that fast but).. There's a piece missing with the story of the brother that lives in Canada. A line mentioned from the mother that she wanted her only son to be happily married but then there's a brother in Canada.. I was confused.. The way things went down with Holden and Becca and her job... I wished there was more there but the way it ended for her was the satisfaction in and of itself. All in all it's a good and quick read. I read this entire book in one sit down and a few hours!

This is a sweet contemporary romance and I found it an easy read.

Becca Daniels has just been given the promotion of her life at her new job. On the same day she becomes engaged to her boyfriend who also happens to be a big shot in the sister company. This leads her to question did she get the job with his connections. She also questions if this is the right decision in both areas of her life, after all if her fiancé can’t get the ring right then how much does he really know her? He certainly doesn’t know she can’t swim so why he is pushing her to have their wedding and honeymoon which includes taking part in an Ironman contest? Surely this is another sign they are not ready for marriage now, if ever?

To try and control one area in her life, she signs up for swimming lessons, but on the way there to the swimming pool she has a bump with a guy on a motorbike. Sparks fly and she shoots her mouth off but eventually dashes into the pool area only to find out the hot guy she nearly ran over is none other than her instructor!

I liked this light hearted romance and Liam was a loveable character to fall for. He does not have a good relationship with his Olympic trainer father after an injury to Liam’s shoulder put him out of the race for the Olympics many years ago. Liam feels he has been constantly blamed for ruining his father’s dreams ever since.

I must say Becca did frustrate me with her over thinking things especially around her fiancé even after she broke things off with him to make a go at a relationship with Liam. She still let him control her and push Liam aside. This further imploded on Liam in that he felt he was rejected again by somebody he loved and feelings of not being good enough as he couldn’t compete with the rich guy. Oh but my lovely Liam there was no competition you won hands down all the way!

I have not read either of these authors before so this book was a good introduction. Four stars.
