The rodeo came to Wickenburg, and everyone knows Wickenburg loves a party, or any reason to celebrate. All of the locals turned out for the first performance, even Sam the bartender.
And Sam was pleasantly surprised by the beautiful sharp-shooter, Emily Whittaker. When they locked eyes, it was like kismet. Everyone noticed, maybe because Emily was so distracted that it interfered with her performance.
But Emily’s brother, Ryan seemed to have a problem with Sam. Emily was tired of the traveling rodeo, as was her mother. But Ryan wouldn’t let her quit. And their terrible boss seemed to be holding something over Ryan’s head.
I highly recommend The Bride’s Secret to anyone who enjoys historical romances. And you’ll find out the secret!

I believe this is an excellent story and recommend that you get this book and read or listen to it yourself so you can find out everything that happens between these characters.
I believe you will enjoy it very much too.
Throughout the story, you learn of a family that has gone through hard times and Emily wants to get out and start a life away from the rodeo and captivity. Being a skilled sharpshooter means that Emily can’t leave or her family will be in trouble. What Emily didn’t count on was finding a man that makes her heart beat. Sam, the saloon owner, feels that he is too old for love however he didn’t anticipate finding a woman that would capture his heart. Sam was the hope and love that Emily needs to get out of a sticky situation and have the freedom that her family wants.
Elliee Atkinson does a fantastic job with the descriptiveness throughout her stories. You get a good sense of the area, the homes and the businesses. I will definitely continue to read the series to see what happens with the rest of the characters. I have read several books by Elliee Atkinson. I have not been disappointed, yet! I recommend this book and series to anyone that enjoys reading a clean western romance with a delightful ending.
