on Music&Arts , notes in fr & Eng, Faure op.121, Bridge #1&2, milhaud op87.
Fine. An excellent program. They keep the op.121 well placed and strike through it beautifully, it does not wander.

How customer reviews and ratings work
Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.

I've owned this recording for many years and have enjoyed it a great deal. The Tatrai Quartet is not a blindingly virtuosic ensemble, but there's a certain honesty in their playing that I appreciate--they're letting the music come through, without putting on their own idiosyncratic layer. As another reviewer pointed out, they occasionally play out of tune, but I found this to be only occasionally annoying and not a big problem.
The recording is likewise not state-of-the-art, but it lets each instrument's voice come through clearly, rather than blending them all together in an echo-ey mess, as some other quartet recordings do.
The big plus is the music, some of the most extraordinary that Haydn ever wrote. The Opus 33 quartets are stylistically like later, more famous quartets (e.g. Opus 76), but terser and more concentrated, incredibly pure. There's nothing else like them in Haydn's (or anyone else's) music.
