We make our own beer. This, along with the other DME are a great way of making high quality beer without investing huge amounts of time. We use distillers yeast, DME, hops and molasses, honey or agave to make our beer. Total time to make the beer is 2 hours on the front end, 5-7 days fermenting and 20 minutes pouring into mason jars. People who love bread fresh out of the oven will appreciate beer that is fresh from the fermenter.

i add an extra pound of DME to my beer kits. This raises the specific gravity enough, so I get a half gallon more beer. Otherwise, the so-called 5 gallon kit is really 4.5 gallons and subsequent calculations for the priming sugar are mostly guesswork.

no doubt the quality of the powder is top shelf, just needed to understand if this was non diastatic or diastaic malt specifically for bread making - nothing on the packaging gives you a single clue and for that I'd give three out of five because there are no instructions - please be awre if you are allergic when opening the package you may inhale the powder - its that fine - still recommend
