As another reviewer has mentioned, the ring connectors are two different sizes. The smaller rings will not fit my inverter (Sunforce 11240 1000W - 5/16" fine threaded stud) or my battery (std. deep cycle 12v - - 5/16" coarse threaded stud). The product information does not give the end ring sizes. The larger rings are labeled "22-10", have a 0.40" hole & a 0.65" outside dia. The smaller rings are lableled "22-6S", have a .25" hole (1/4") with a 0.48" outside dia. As I have already had two power outages this winter, I am inclined to hold on to these and just drill out the smaller connector ... hopefully there will be enough material to do that without causing problems. (Update: drilled out the connector ends to fit existing studs without trashing connectors). Not sure about replacing the ends as I don't have any type of crimper to do the job, even if I found the right ends.
Between the connector holes, my cables measured about 3 feet, 4 inches.
The cables may be fine but the description is pretty minimal, incorrect and needs updated, hence the low review.
The claim is that this is 2 AWG to handle 2000-2500 watts.
It may appeared properly sized at first glance due to the overall diameter. However the rubber jacket is much thicker than it appears. In addition, the terminal that was claimed to be 5/16" was smaller. Rather than drilling it out, I went to a local solar store where they cut cable to length, and had them replace the ring terminal with a proper lug. They had to use 4 AWG lugs because the actual wire portion was too small.
I put these aside if I ever need smaller wire for some future project, but I consider it wasted money since I had to purchase the correct size wire for my inverter so that it would not have undersized wire, a very dangerous situation with that much wattage draw from an inverter. I'm glad I did because the quality of the wire and lug I got locally was far superior.
I do not recommend this product. Don't waste your time ordering this stuff online. Just go to a local battery supplier, or a solar goods store - they cut to size and are actually cheaper for a better product.
