I could not put this book down! It was a well-developed, fast-paced, sexy, fun, and perfect workplace romance. I loved every moment of it. Usually, as I'm reading a book, I make notes for my reviews. However, I was so engulfed in Scarlett and Bradley's budding romance that I didn't even think about doing so. I needed to know how it would all end. And I wasn't disappointed.
I loved Scarlett and Bradley! They were absolutely perfect together and so freaking hot. That conference call scene... whew! The dynamic and banter between them was fantastic. They had this easy way of challenging as well as balancing out each other. It was so much fun to witness the affect Scarlett had on Bradley. She had an innate ability to suppress his serious side, or maybe she just allowed him to reveal his true self. And I loved the fact that Scarlett was a woman of her own mind. She knew exactly what she wanted and went after it. And while there had to be a detour along the way, I was pleased with how the author incorporated it into the story and brought them back together. It was all very natural and angst free.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Readers Copy of this book.
Scarlett starts out as not an easy-to-love Heroine which makes "A Brit Complicated" slightly challenging to get into. However Bradley is such a charming and intriguing character you want to keep reading to get to know him better. In turn Scarlett's judgments and assumptions are exposed and she becomes more likable. The romance between Bradley and Scarlett is stellar. Although the sex scenes aren't extremely descriptive they are steamy. The chemistry that Bradley and Scarlett share and the banter they exchange is electric and amusing. Their "courtship" is just plain adorable. Brenda St. John Brown allows all the previous series Heroes and Heroines to put their two-pence in during this book. Which is great fun. In short, "A Brit Complicated" is Simply enchanting.

I love Scarlett's spunk and her attitude about everything, especially when it comes to her boss, Bradley Waring-Smith. Knowing how she feels about him from the previous books, I love how the book jumps right into her feelings about him and how she knows she's better than he gives her credit for.
The way the "arrangement" between Scarlett and Bradley plays out makes the story so interesting. While Scarlett does question herself a few times throughout the time they are building a new "relationship", I love how she doesn't question everything, at every turn. Her character is strong enough to know what she wants/needs out of her time with Bradley.
The play on words, Bradley Walking Sex made me smile every time I read it. I loved his character as well, and how as Scarlett got to know him better, so did the reader. And not only as her "horrible" boss.
I hope there's more to come in this series, or at least some more Scarlett and Bradley Walking Sex, but if not, I'll read whatever else St. John Brown writes.
