After one month of use , started getting mold inside mouth piece.. Brita response was to soak it in bleach..... REALLY ......!!! No thank you... They wanted a upc from the when. I contacted them ,like they didn't believe me.. who saves the boxes after a month??? Save your money buy something else!!!!

Nice bottle and filter .. I will agree the first time you use this, the first couple couple sips of water contain the carbon from the filter you'll need to spit it out. Other thank that it works great. I bought this cut back on bottle water purchase, as the water at my work place taste odd. This works great to remove whatever was making the water taste odd. Also bought extra filters for this too so far so good!

Updated: in less than 2 months the inside of the mouthpiece is molding. I washed this in a very regular basis and it was left to dry out everyday. I have repeatedly tried to clean it out and it just keeps coming back. It's trash now 🙁
Does not affect the taste of water. Super easy to take apart and replace the filter. It is labeled for top rack of the dishwasher, but the shape traps water where the mouth piece attaches, so you have to towel dry it. I have not had any problems with it leaking but make sure you stop before the max fill line or it will go everywhere when you put the top on.

All features are great except for the mouthpiece. It gets micro-tears in the material and allows mold or charcoal into the silicone and stains it black. There is no remedy or cleaning method that will remove it. It appears as black stains inside the mouthpiece, either from the charcoal filter or mold growing tears. Brita does not offer replacement mouthpieces and you will have to buy an entirely new bottle that will eventually end up with the same problem. If you're trying to be environmentally friendly I would suggest looking for another product, Brita has been aware of the problem with the mouthpiece and has not offered any replacement parts or shown any effort to remedy the situation.

I love my purchase! My goal is to drink more water and reduce my plastic waste. It filters instantly as you suck and because of this it’s not like drinking out of a normal straw, but I promise you get used to it after the first time you try it. The only reason why I didn’t give it 5/5 is because it kinda leaks when you shake it, even with the lid on, but it’s a very very minor leak. Also, if you’re a tea or infused water drinker, you can simply remove the filter from inside the straw and use it as a normal flask.

What a disaster. Leaky and spills all over with each drink. Such a disappointment, especially given my experience with other Brit’s products.

What I find weird is that amazon only shows the three 5 star reviews, but none of the others that mention problems similar to line.

This bottle is great. I love the orange color and it's so clear and beautiful. The built-in filter assures me that my water is the best it can be and I love the silicone spout. The last Brita bottle I bought has a hard plastic spout with a silicone sleeve over it. This is way more comfortable. I have the 26oz bottle and I couldn't be happier. Will definitely buy another to have a backup. They aren't lying when they say the max line for water, it will overflow if you go over that line. It doesn't leak and I love that the top fully closes to protect the spout from getting dirty. My coworker saw mine and loved it so much that she bought the orchid color.

Works basically as expected (it is a water bottle). Makes the tap water in my house taste better also.
Things I've noted:
-The neck of the bottle is fairly narrow, making it necessary to have some long-handled sponge or brush to clean inside the bottle, but that's hardly a deal breaker. The straw and cap are also pretty easy to clean with one of those pipe cleaner looking brushes.
-I also have a tendency to chew the rubber mouthpiece/straw part of waterbottles, and after having this one for a month or so the straw is still basically like new, so unless you really go to town on it the rubber straw bit seems like it'd last a while.
-The only time the bottle has leaked is when I threw it into a gym bag and accidentally hit the cap button in transit. If you keep it upright on the side of your backpack or whatever I can't really envision that happening too easily.
-When you go to refill the bottle and unscrew the lid/straw, sometimes water gets held in the straw so make sure to wait a few seconds and let any water run out back into the bottle or a sink before taking the lid fully off. If you like to live on the edge, are impatient, or don't care about spilling water on the floor, feel free to disregard this advice.

I abhor buying bottled water so this Brita bottle seemed perfect. And it Was! I was able to fill it whenever I wanted both on the ship and in the ports I stopped at. It was easy to put ice into as well and stayed cold for a long time. Even full, it was easy to carry around with the strap on the lid. I'll be doing a bunch of camping this Summer/Fall and will definitely be taking it with me!
