Finding inspiration in the 90s music scene of Southern California, a group of friends shared a diverse set of interests ranging from music and art, to skateboarding and surfing. Looking to the past for inspiration, vintage headwear was our origin. Driven by a desire to create connection, Brixton was founded with a focus on bringing people together through classic style. That vision still inspires us today. Brixton delivers timeless style inspired by the past, built to live in the present.
Messer Fedora
With a medium-width brim, pinch crown top, and custom leather hat band, the Messer is one of the most flexible styles in the Brixton collection. Indoors or outdoors, dressed-up or dressed-down, the Messer has you covered.

Perfect hat. It's my first hay and I love it, it fits great. The brim is maleable so you can put it flat or curve it a little bit.
Sizing: I was afraid that it wouldn't fit. I'm 59 cm so by reading the size chart it says that I'm L. Asking the community they told that it runs large so I bought the M and it fits perfect, even that I have long hair (in the photo I have short hair, recently cut it).

Brixton manufactures excellent hats for this price point. The Messer is a wool fedora with a silky interior lining. This style runs a bit large. My size per Brixton's chart is a small. I ended up having to exchange for an extra-small and it is still a bit looser than I prefer (but this is an easy fix). I also have Brixton's Wesley Fedora which fits perfectly in an extra-small. The Messer has a somewhat slimmer, more structured brim than the quite floppy Wesley, so I don't feel like it overwhelms me. The extra small was only available in grey and black. I hope they restock some of the other other colors soon. I realize this is listed as a men's hat, but it's just as stylish for ladies. It was shipped appropriately and arrived within 48 hours.
I read the previous reviews and I was worried about the fit. I wear a 7 1/2 hat and this was no exception. It fit perfectly. The wool hat is very comfortable. I bought a similar Stetson wool hat at the same time, and I just returned it as it was too small. Both say they are in the 7 1/2 range, and only this one was. So, notwithstanding the remarks from other buyers, this hat fit me just like the chart said it would. It is comfortable and sophisticated for the price. All in all it worked out better than the Size L Stetson hat I bought. Happy shopper.
Very good quality, and exactly as described. I wear a Size 7 / 22 in, and this Size 7 is a tad (just a tad) too big. It fits, but there is a little room. The wool is very good quality. The gray color is very nice, though the "leather" band looks and feels more like rubber or plastic; it isn't bad looking at all, just not looking like leather. The hat is not lined inside, but there is a good fabric band on the inside rim. The brim is 2.25 in. wide and has finished edges, and is flat without any downturn in the front or back, or upturn on the sides. All in all, very classy looking, kind of like in "The Adjustment Bureau" way. It is also warm to wear, and good in the fall, winter, spring with the narrower brim in keeping sun off of the face.

Wonderful hat and well made, but it is quite large. I generally buy XX-large for my husband and got one size smaller, as was suggested by reviewers. It was still quite large on him. We sized it down with Velcro (or 3M's version of it), I found information about using that online. You buy the sticky back kind, and just use the fuzzy side. I also found if you want to use the foam strips for sizing: yes, you can use weather stripping, a type called 'open cell' (as opposed to closed cell). It costs less than $2 at our local hardware store. No need to pay the $20 here. After sizing the hat, it looks great on him. A caution about the color: the khaki color is not the tan we might think of as khaki, but rather a darker color; it reminds me more of the color of uniforms used in WWI. Don't be dissuaded, it is a very nice, rich color. It wasn't what I expected, but I like it even better.
Product is good quality. However, it arrived stuffed into a package that was too small and not fit for purpose. I had to remould the hat into shape using online tutorials. Seriously? how much would a cheap hatbox cost them?!
I see this is a recurring theme with this company. Are you going to sort this out?
