About BROAN Heaters:
Built-in, wall or ceiling mounted electric heaters are a more efficient choice for taking the chill out of individual rooms than whole house heating. This characteristic makes electric wall or ceiling heaters ideal for heating small rooms for short periods of time, such as bathrooms or dressing areas.

Why Spot Heating Makes Sense in Your Home
You hastily get ready every morning, head for work, the office, or school, just when the central heating system has finished warming the entire house. It's about as inefficient as it gets. Spot heating solves that problem. No longer will you heat an entire home when you simply need a bit of comfort in the bath or dressing room, or any other room.
Efficient Heating Element
Even the most efficient central heating systems send heat up the chimney. But Broan spot heaters deliver every bit of energy back into your home. There's no external venting, so the electricity you convert to heat is delivered directly where you want it.
Simple, Safe, and Efficient.
Permanently lubricated motors are quiet and require no maintenance. They can be operated by a built-in adjustable thermostat or an optional wall-mount controller. Heaters may be converted in the field to a choice of wattages/voltages. And for safety, heaters are thermal overload protected and the complete heater assembly conveniently removes from the housing for cleaning.
In 1932, Henry Broan developed and manufactured a kitchen fan called the Motordor Fan that provided quiet and efficient kitchen ventilation. Today, Broan-NuTone leads the industry with forward-thinking residential ventilation products, customized climate, communications and storage solutions and superior customer service. The Broan brand focuses on range hoods, ventilation fans, heater/fan/light combination units, Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) fresh air systems, built-in heaters, whole-house fans, attic ventilators and trash compactors, while the NuTone brand offers door chimes, central vacuum systems, stereo intercom systems, medicine cabinets, ironing centers, ceiling fans and ventilation fans.

The fan could move a little bit more air. When stepping out of the shower, the heat is at the shoulder level and doesn't seem to make it to the floor level. The fan can be a bit noisy, primarily from vibration and rattling. As the thin aluminum expands/contracts, the noise level will change.
I would purchase this again because it is the best I've found to fill this purpose.
Added 12/12/2017. Almost 2 years old and the fan motor died. The heating element still glows red, but with no air movement around it, I am wary of using it. I did mark it down from my original 4 stars due to the fan motor only lasting 2 years.
Especially on a relatively higher-current device such as this, I would always use new wire nuts. Make sure that the nuts are of the right size.
One downer - no mounting hardware is included - it really should include the wire nuts. Fortunately, I keep a stock on hand.
The housing is all aluminum and is kinda flimsy, so just be a little careful during installation. It does have a solid (not coil-type) heating element, which I would think be a little more robust.
Time will tell about the durability. I replaces the old Schoville-branded equivalent which was probably 25 years old.
Installation was simple--took less than 30 minutes to swap out the old 154 heater and install the 157. As expected, this heater takes about 2 minutes to warm up, but it gets my 160 sqft (15 sqm) bathroom toasty in under 10 minutes.
UPDATE: It has been working perfectly for over a year now!
I installed it above the open stall of my elderly mother's doorless shower directly in the rising mist and high humidity. I run it (and another 1250 watt portable heater) for several minutes before her shower and total running time each use is probably about 30-45 minutes. It has never failed and the (large) bathroom warms up a LOT. Haven't measured the temperature, but it gets "toasty" in there (and as humid as a sauna.) I was worried the high temperature and moisture would be an issue, but they have not been a problem. In other words, it gets plenty warm in there without tripping any high-temperature safety feature in the unit.
I chose the Model 157 because of the heavy-duty element. It takes a couple minutes to fully heat up to red-hot, but that's fine. I think it will last a lot longer than the thin spiral wire element of the Model 154. In my opinion, it's well worth the extra cost.
I want the chrome alloy coil because of the faster heat output. Something to note before you make your purchase.
