If you are looking to do a stainless backsplash the easy way, this is the way to do it. I will add pictures shortly.
This is nicely polished ( I believe it is #4 finish), covered with protective plastic. For a backsplash you probably need to have a pretty straight wall, because it warps easily. In my case it looks fantastic. For me it was a relatively inexpensive way to purchase stainless steel sheet. It was a bit thinner than what I needed too (but it worked to my advantage as it bent easier), but I ended up cementing it to ceramic fiber board anyway, so it increased rigidity pretty well.
I installed mine with four screws at the corners, and used adhesive on the wall so it would not "move", as sheet metal can do when it gets hot, or while cleaning. The payback I got for doing so is a permanent reminder of the adhesive lines--which are visible at certain angles. The metal, being so darn thin, conformed to the glue lines as I was rolling the glue flat. Mind you, I was not using heavy pressure at all. The piece had already scratched once, leaving me with only one good side to use, so I was very careful to use light pressure rolling on the good side.
I recommend to anyone: Go buy a piece of thicker metal from a metal yard in your area. They exist, you just have to look for them. Have them cut it to the size you want, and paint it yourself. You'll be happier in the end than owning this floppy tin item.

Works better than tile or other material around my stove. Ordered from Amazon because the one at local hardware store was bent up. When you get it open & examine it immediately. Read morePublished 5 days ago by Lynette Halter

I have purchased this a few times before for rental properties so that I don't have to tile behind the stove. Excellent price and comes well packaged.Published 4 months ago by contractor's wife
Great sheet we placed behind the slide in stove and looks great. A little tricky to install to make it lay completely flat, but with a few trials a beginner can do. Read morePublished 4 months ago by Austinite
