To start off, I really liked Broken. It had a fairly solid story line and character development. I was looking forward to reading Broken Dreams and watching the sparks fly between Courtney and Reed. However, there was no pizzazz or sparks or really anything of substance in this book. It was filled with a bunch of "I love yous" and too much sex. Not that I'm opposed to sex scenes but this was just over the top. Nothing original here.

As if the first one wasn't bad enough, a sequel was written that was identical, but with different characters! So sappy, so much unnecessary crying, too many triple orgasms (seriously, this does NOT happen in real life) & sex after just giving birth...completely laughable!!! If I would have had to read about more crooked smile, throbbing between the legs, or jumping dick, I would surely have lost my supper.

This book was good, don't get me wrong but the writing style was so bad it looked like a twelve year old wrote it. There's so much ooey gooey mushy love stuff at first it's cute then it's like okay come on you said that eight times over already.
I read the wanted series and broken, couldn't put them down because the author certainly knows what a good story is. Only she uses that and does the exact same thing with each couple. And these "manly" cowboys are big babies and annoying. And nobody I've ever met talks like that to their friends.
She just needs to work on the presentation. So if you don't mind horrible grammar and almost offensive punctuation and presentation of the story go ahead. It's certainly not a book i would read again or even recommend to anyone.

I read and liked the first book in this series, but I could NOT finish this one. That is really saying something for me because I have never left a book unfinished. It was so repetitious. The characters wink at each other like they have an out of control facial tick. Also, I am not sure why everyone's head is "snapping" all over the place. "Her head snapped up..." And his head snap over to look at her. I mean seriously? I have whiplash from all of the head snapping.
I also don't mind men crying from time to time in a book, but it was too much crying in this one. Everything was completely heartfelt all the time. The characters were constantly talking about how much they were in love, and hoping they weren't dreaming.
Overall, I had high hopes for this book, but I am sad to say the repetition just sent me over the edge. The phrases, the crying, the feelings, the over abundant sex scenes, it just seemed like a broken record. My advice would be to skip this book.

Oh jeez..

I really liked the first one in these series but this book was way to sappy without any conviction. Every 10 pages either someone was crying or Courtney and Reed were having sex. It got to such a point, I couldn't get attached to either character and they felt too whiny and too perfect.

I don't believe there was any plot. Yes, Reed had issues with his father and yes Courtney was dealing with the aftermath of her childhood but it was all resolved too perfectly and had no real depth. I skimmed to the end and that was still too peachy.

This story gave nothing to me.

The book was just ok for me. I do love books from Kelly Elliot but I really couldn't get into this one. It just seems repetitive and Im not a big fan of the hero crying ALL the time. I felt like there was something missing, and the characters were missing a certain spark. I also didn't think Reed needed to explain anything to Noah. Other than that, the book was ok.

In every story I have read from Kelly Elliott, she has men crying (sometimes too much), a lot of winking and a lot of good love and sex, and I will always be a fan, but this story just seemed too repetitive for me and I wanted to feel more, but it just didn't give me the same fondness/happy feeling that her other stories had. I felt like I was reading the same sentences over and over, and I just wanted more detail or more story lines to go with some of the issues in the book. I will always read her books, but this is the first book I felt didn't hit a good note with me.

I was looking forward to Courtney & Reed's story based on their interactions from the first book. I didn't love the first book, it was a bit cheesy but had some good scenes and a decent story. And I loved Courtney's character and couldn't wait to read her and Reed's story.
Honestly, this book was awful. Both Courtney and Reed were so childish and ridiculous, and OMG the sex scenes...really??? I love a good sex scene in a book...or two or three or four...but this book was so repetitive I found myself skipping pages because I felt like I had already read that scene!
(Warning: Spoiler ahead)
Let me just say that the sex scene in the truck...in the driveway as they are getting home from Courtney giving birth...yes you read that right...GIVING BIRTH, was completely unrealistic and above the top. There is no woman anywhere, EVER, that would be so hot to get off that she needs her man to use a toy on her a day after having a baby. I honestly wondered if Kelly's editor questioned that part? Is her editor a man that just doesn't know any better? I just did not understand it at all...
