The... author did an amazing job in creating such a fast paced, suspenseful, edge of your seat, keep you reading, mystery book. The way that she entwined romance into the story but yet never got off the topic of the suspense storyline was awesome!! Reading about the descriptive feelings that both Faith and Trey were feeling for one another, brought you into their love story and made you continue to wonder if their love will win out, or will their lives continue to be torn apart. The suspense throughout the story in regards to catching the bad guys or saving someone's life always kept you anxiously waiting and flipping the book pages until you knew for sure. I love how the writer mentions topics in parts of the story and you find yourself waiting and hoping to get the answers and piecing parts of the story together given the history and information you have been given. I literally would read this book and could see the story unfolding in my mind. The details were so vivid, making the characters come to life in your mind while you are reading. The suspense with the way the book ends were awesome! It was wonderfully written to lead into book 2 of the series and makes the reader start thinking of different plots on their own and wondering how Faith and Trey will overcome their next adventure and exactly what will happen to them!! I am looking forward to book 2 in the Chicago Hearts Book series!!!! Anxiously waiting for it! This is a must read for any person who enjoys mystery/ suspense reads. The added romance is just a bonus
