From the Inside Flap

The poems are provocative simply by existing. Poems about religion seem to have an innate intensity about them. The emotions that come out of this collection are ones that many can empathize with, especially in response to the unfairness of hierarchy. The writing is so universal, that it can apply to anyone who questions their role in society. I had such a wonderful time reading this book, that I keep it by my nightstand and I'm trying to find time to read little bits of it over again, the writing is so elegant.
While she measures her interior world, she takes time to step out of herself to her concern for the devout and for the act of devotion.
