Wow!!!! Started this book this morning and finished it tonight. Amazing! If you are going to read this, and u have some kind of sorted past with family, make sure a box of tissues are handy. I cried all the way through. Took all of me to finish the last 2 chapters because I didn't think my heart could take anymore. Amazing author! Thank you!!

My first Kathleen Long book, but won't be my last. I really enjoyed the book, it went along very smoothly. I enjoyed the story line and how she dealt with characters and death.I got wrapped up in the story and finished it quickly. I like how she described the symptoms of ovarian cancer, very simply, which could be very helpful to someone.

The writing was a bit simplistic and though it was more of a fiction, it was written as if it was a romance novel... and there were elements of a romance novel. Decent book, easy read.

I found this well written novel thought provoking. In so many places I found myself understanding and identifying with the author. Too often we turn our backs on things we find hurtful - and convince ourselves that we can live without them; until we end up in a situation that can no longer be ignored.

This book had some very good character developments.. The story is somewhat predictable; however, the characters keep it moving right along. Some surprises, some happy moments and some tear jerking parts keep you enthralled!
Good beach read or a night by the fire just tucked in with a good book,

We are all flawed. We all face grief. Destiny shut out the world after her mother's death and her father's abandonment. But then, her father returns with a secret that opens Destiny's heart to a love she never could have imagined. A bit of a tear-jerker at times, but an easy, fast read, and a darn good story. Couldn't put it down

To transition from what you thought was a happy life, to what now may be the beginning of a HAPPY life is inspiring to the soul. From every cloud a little rain must fall, only to bring sunshine and life. I'm sure that last sentence (quote) is incorrect, but I'm also sure you know what I mean.

The sadness and fears made me want to hug the main characters, knowing from experience how much one needs them when going through trauma and life. I liked the way it was brought out about all the platitudes which one gets tired of hearing even though people mean well. It's a good read for all adults.

A beautiful but predictable family story. Good writing. Great advice about sadness, sickness and dealing with desertion and grief.; Above all forgiveness.

It was easy to read and kept my interest. I found it to be somewhat predictable. The story was good, but there were places where it seemed forced.
