"In Broken Realms, Moneypenny has set up an incredible fantasy universe that will have no problem supporting sequels as Mara, her Miyagi-esque mentor, Ping, and her brother from another dimension track down the remaining Flight 559 passengers and save them (and the world) by sending them back to their respective realities."

From the Author
It took me a while to embrace the hybrid approach. As a former newspaper reporter and editor, I'm more comfortable writing facts than fancy. At the very least, I need some kind of rationale to underpin why things are they way they are. 'Because magic happened' wasn't gonna work for me. If science, or at least my rudimentary grasp of it, could not provide the raw material my characters needed to meet their challenges, I would need to give them the next best thing: metaphysics - magic that sounds like science.
For a while, it felt silly. Until a friend pointed out that Spock had his mindmelds and Luke Skywalker had The Force.
I'm getting more comfortable with it.
