Did you ever wish that action movies like the Bourne series had more spice to them? Then you need to start this series.

Lucia has been Noah's charge since she witnessed her brother Rafe's murder years ago, and she wants to know why it happened. Her curiosity puts her in danger, so now Noah needs to step in and protect her. But Lucia also wants one more thing: for Noah to view her as more than a sister.

Noah has been keeping more than one secret. The first is his feelings for his best friend's sister. The other is information about Rafe's death. As Lucia keeps digging into the latter, she also starts to uncover the former.

But they don't have enough time to explore their forbidden connection as Rafe's murderer is still at large..

This was a fun and sexy read that will leave you on the edge of your seat. The suspense, the spice, the chemistry. The Malones did not play with this kick-off; they establish the sizzling tension quickly and build and build and build. I got so invested in Lucia and Noah, and I thoroughly enjoyed that their love was in the midst of an enticing chess match.

There is no cliffhanger, but this series start gives us readers a foundation for the next book.

Noah and Lucia - made for each other

This is the first book in The Broken Trust series and it is an intriguing story. I had a sense of déjà vu while reading it because I had read it a few years ago but it has been updated with some changes. Now instead of being three separate books, they have been combined into one so there is no cliffhanger. In part one, Lucia wants to know what happened to her brother and is determined to get an answer. However she doesn’t realize the can of worms that she is opening and receives a letter to stop and leave the past alone. Noah is her brother’s best friend who has sworn to protect Lucia and her grandmother. A year goes by and Lucia still cannot get past her brother’s death even though she has Noah and her grandmother. Her feelings for Noah are growing stronger and Noah is having difficulty keeping his feelings for Lucia in check and they wind up making love. As Noah is protecting Lucia, he receives a call letting him know that a hit has been put out on her. Will Noah tell Lucia the truth about the past and the secret that he is keeping from her? Will Lucia’s nightmares give her the answers she is seeking? Can the love that Lucia and Noah feel for each other conquer all? This is one storyline that will keep you on the edge of your seat until you get to the end….and leaves the reader breathless as it finishes with a cliffhanger. Part two continues and Noah has sworn to protect Lucia, his dead best friend’s sister, as someone is out to kill her. Noah and Lucia profess their love for one another but is it enough? There are lies and betrayals that have Noah questioning his past and that puts Lucia into a tailspin. The action is unending and the suspense just keeps building. Part three, Lucia is trying to process the voice that she hears when an intruder breaks into her residence to try and take her. Noah is berating himself for not being there when Lucia needed him. These two characters are so perfect for one another but they have had to deal with outside world stressors that have forced each of them to grow and reassess their priorities. This is one action packed story that moves at a fast pace and filled with suspense, danger and heat. Once you start, you just cannot put it down! I am looking forward to see what amazing story these authors have coming next and thanks to the epilogues…I have my answer.

Passion mixed with suspense!

In this suspenseful romance, we get Noah and Lucia. Noah’s best friend was killed and Lucia lost her brother. Determined to find out the truth behind the death, Noah sets out to protect Lucia during all this. They’ve always had a thing for each other. This was a great suspense romance that kept me on my toes throughout. A lot of mystery and a lot of passion and spice.
