*I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.*

A Broken Us is the second book in the London Lovers Series by Amy Daws. It is told from the Finley’s POV. You must read Becoming Us before A Broken Us.

A Broken Us picks up about 4-6 weeks after Becoming Us epilogue ends. We know something is wrong with Finley’s health. Whatever it is, she feels she can’t tell Brody and she must leave. She breaks Brody’s and her heart and moves to London to stay with Leslie. While in London, she takes a hard look at herself, Brody, her loss, and future.

I cannot write really anything about this book without giving away the plot. Reading about Finley in this book is like a punch the face by someone you trust. Why? Until you have been punched unexpectently in the face by someone you trust, you don’t understand how it feels and what your reaction would be. You can hypothesis all you want about what you’d do, but you don’t know for sure. The intimacy in getting punched in the face. It leaves you unable to breathe with watering eyes and nose. It feels personal attack on you leaving you to question things about yourself. That’s what Finley is going through. You can’t truly understand what she is thinking, or not thinking, when she makes her choices. Regardless of Finley’s choices, you have to stand by her on her journey because that’s what friends do.

Just like in Becoming Us, humor breaks up the intensity of the book. Leslie provided comedy relief and wisdom in the first book, and she’s back in A Broken Us. She is wonderful and fabulous as ever. Bonus: we meet a new character named Frank. Frank is from London and hysterical! I want a book just about Frank. He is sweet and caring, and blended with the solid relationship of Leslie and Finley.

Finlay and Brody have been together for five years and the love they have for each other is strong and pure. For them, saying “I love us” is much more than “I love you”. They see each other as one entity and not individuals. They have always dreamed of a family so when Finlay receives news from the doctor that this will be impossible, she decides to leave Brody.

Finlay decides to move to London and live with her best friend. She doesn’t tell Brody where or why she’s leaving and he’s left devastated.

Finlay makes some great friends in London, and even finds herself a guy who is possibly looking at being more. Just like Brody, Liam is sweet and cares for Finlay, but she can’t seem to forget her love and is reluctant to let anyone else in.

This story shows how a love that’s strong and deep, can withstand time and distance. Brody and Finlay have loved each other for so long and although she tried to let him go, his love for her didn’t allow him to forget her and her love for him made it impossible for her to be at peace with the separation.

The secondary characters also add much to the story. Cadence, Finlay’s sister, plays a huge role in the relationship between Brody and Finlay and I really loved her character.

This is a story of second chances and undying love. The characters live through heartache that you can relate to and feel like you just want to hold and comfort them. Finlay’s pain and decisions, although sometimes frustrating, are those that many would make in her situation. I really enjoyed reading this story

5 Crazy Ass Must Read Stars!!!!!

I just had to start this right after finishing Becoming Us because I had to know what happens before I could write my review for it. I love this series. Amy Daws does a wonderful job drawing you into the story. I was a basket case during some of it but I also laughed so much. I just loved the banter between Fin/Leslie/Frank. They really cracked me up.

This is so hard to write without leaving a spoiler. I will say that you will not be disappointed with this series (yes, Becoming Us should be read first). Now onto London Bound and Leslie's story.

First let me say I totally disliked Finley in this installment. To me she was being selfish and a coward instead of just confiding in Brody. Beyond my little dislike and rant on Finley, the installment was beautiful. I can fully understand the anger, hurt, and pain Brody was going through. There will be tears for you readers with this one. Lots of angry and sad moments but definitely a read. Again...Beautiful!

I wanted to love this book… but it’s the same narrator as book one… I don’t know what it is about her voice; I just played it on 2.5x speed. I wanted to listen through because well I paid for it.

I loved Brody throughout this whole book. But I find he isn't the same Brody described in the later books (which I read first and LOVED). But he is the one of the reasons I fought through the narrator’s voice. It’s not a bad book if you liked book one, you will like book 2.

Fin… I have a love, hate relationship. I just found her character to be selfish and maybe a little immature. No I am not heartless I get her struggles but she didn't anyone in either. And that is what I don’t understand. She has this huge wonderful support system that would fall all over themselves for her, and she didn't even give them a chance.
I don’t like one darn thing she did in this book. Well except when she is with her sister. Those were the best and saddest parts of the whole book for me.

Now please don’t think I didn't like the book because I liked parts of it. I am not scared to give a lower star rating if I didn't like the book.
I fully believe it was the narrator for me, and maybe that I didn't really like Fin’s character as a whole, but honestly the rest of the book is aces.
I <3 the stuffing out of Frank!! As well as the rest of the crazy cast.
