You can't have an exceptional pavement-pounding sesh without the Brooks® Adrenaline GTS 15! Successor to the Adrenaline GTS 14. Built for the moderate overpronator. Lightweight, breathable, moisture-managing Element mesh and synthetic uppers protect feet from the various elements. Adjustable mid-foot saddle pulls from the heel up into the eyestays for added support. Breathable, moisture-wicking Element linings keep feet cooler and drier. Removable molded foam insole supplies light underfoot cushioning. BioMoGo DNA is a blend of earth-friendly BioMoGo and responsive Brooks DNA, and has a gender-friendly cushioning design, making for a dynamic ride. Progressive Diagonal Rollbar® (PDRB) is a tri-density midsole designed to promote progressive pronation control, as well as smoother transitions throughout the gait cycle. Redesigned medial midsole is now higher, bringing more material, structure, and integrity to the heel counter, upper, and foot. Domed midsole sidewalls prevent collapse for a truly supportive ride. Lateral midsole pod compresses more easily to allow for optimal heel-to-toe fluidity. Full-length, segmented Crash Pad ensures smooth transitions. Blown rubber forefoot. I use these shoes for my long runs. They are a bit heavy (they are not particularly heavy compared to past models- just as a running shoe in general), but all that extra stability is WHY they are for my long runs!
(When it's time for tempo runs, races or speed days- I use my Brooks Ghosts. Similar fit- just less of a heel drop and a bit lighter)
I would recommend these shoes if you want a stability shoe, are looking to start training for your first half marathon (or marathon I suppose), are new to running, or you're a runner with a slightly larger BMI!
