Brooks Slender Leather Grips feature vegetable tanned leather tape, and are designed to offer an alternative performance option for the user, while maintaining the standard for sustainability set by the Plump Grips, allowing the user to replace worn parts if necessary. The design incorporates an aluminum shell around which the bar tape is wrapped in the manner of traditional handlebar tape. The leather is then held in place by aluminum and steel clamps which can be removed in the event that the tape requires replacement. The tape is made from the same vegetable tanned leather used for Brooks Saddles.

COLOR: the color is not white, more like oatmeal-ish. However that does not mean that they wont look aweful the first time you accidentally get on them with dirty hands. So, be mindful of that. I'm not sure if there is a easy way to clean them.
CONCLUSION: Ugh! That's the feeling I have about these grips. I LOVE, love love Brooks products (check my other reviews). But these grips were by far the worst I have ever experienced. Less than a week of riding with them and they began to unravel/unwind or whatever you call it. Other than when its being ridden my bikes live indoors; so there's very little chance of foul weather or harsh DC temps making them fall apart so quickly. I really wanted to like these grips but the durability of them is too bad to recommend them to anyone.
The tape on both of the grips unraveled. I superglued them back together buts it's not quit the same. I couldn't make them as tight as they originally were and the distance from the tape away from the grip can be felt.
They look great with the cambium seat. However, just know that the quality of the grips are not the same as the saddle. There expensive and expected the quality to match the price tag.
Update 1: Ok, I putted some glue on it, and after 5 weeks using it, the grips are confortable, good looking, and I dont worry about covering on the rain. I m giving a 3 stars by now. I just hope they can change the way they put things together
